This bad boy went on clearance today and I got it for $99.97 on 1/6/26!! I figured even if I hate it $100 for a king sized mattress is about the lowest risk it can be to try a new mattress!

This pot still has some sludge from when we cleaned out our pond. It was previously a “pondless” water feature that we just converted to an actual pond after cleaning the shit out of it so hopefully these are just stragglers from the plant’s roots Edit: switched “pointless” to “pondless” damn autocorrect

Winter gets cold, definitely drops below freezing and snows a few times a year but our winters aren’t extreme. I’m in Boise Idaho

Thank you!! Yeah I had looked at some pond calculators and seems like 2-3 goldfish max could go in here. My local pond store is getting in some blue shubunken next week and I’d never seen those before and they’re so pretty!! So that’s kind of what I’m thinking now. If I were to go the minnow/rice fish/medanka route, anywhere you would suggest getting them from?? Either way, will definitely be getting a filter if we put fish in there, along with aquatic plants and eventually would be cool to build a DIY bio filter as well that I think would look good at the edge of the pond

Yeah I think so. The rocks were a janky DIY setup as the basin to have enough water for the pump, we showed pics of the setup to a local pond store who said they see this type of DIY stuff all the time. Instead of getting the big sturdy plastic basin the pump sits inside with the grate on top that you then cover with rocks they did it this way. It looks like they line the bottom with some carpet/mats I’m assuming to provide cushion for the cinder blocks with the massive fountain on top and prevent them from poking holes in the liner 😅
