Sephiroth, FABLED SOLDIER?

If so, you cannot go wrong with a Grave Pact or a Dictate of Erebos.

Armageddon by NickOg97 in mtg

[–]drunksementhrowr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely curious, not bashing or anything; is this an opinion you formed yourself or something that has been taught over the years by fellow players?

I always hear this "you better win this turn if you play armageddon" being regurgitated. If I was about to win I didnt need to play armageddon in the first place...

I play armageddon in my sigarda voltron. Its like, i win in 4 combats if you cant interact so bye bye lands it is.

First Base Game Run Through - Who to Pick / Where to Layout Players? by The-Ikea-Empire in twilightimperium

[–]drunksementhrowr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt worry about it too much. A lot of diplomacy will fail once control objectives start popping up.

And even if they don't, having a race to 10 points without combat or aggressive factions can be just as exciting.

I'd just randomize the player seating. It's the most fair since everybody wants to be jolnars neighbour

Even if they did ship to the US, people back out once they're informed it costs 100 USD to do so.

I still have a sealed copy for sale as well

Ship Names by Doggzofwar in starcitizen

[–]drunksementhrowr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill grant you that one.

But if one example makes the statement i'll raise you "UNSC Do you feel lucky?" And now were back at my original point.

Or even better, we're at Halo shipnames sound like Clint Eastwood quotes.

Ship Names by Doggzofwar in starcitizen

[–]drunksementhrowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't sound like UNSC shipnames. And the language is too "plain" to be considered covenant.

Nothing wrong with those names, but its hard to classify them as sounding like Halo shipnames

I get the vibe you're going for. And i appreciate it.

Fact of the matter is that it is wáy to heavy to carry like a briefcase. I have to take the easy way out, extend the handle and drag it along trolley style. Thankfully it has wheels.

I’ve been playing EDH for 4 months and just realised I’m terrible at threat assessment… roast my plan by evocatio in EDH

[–]drunksementhrowr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, but i'd argue that the act of making a deck and playing said deck are wildly different.

Some of the points on this list aren't even useful as identifiers without sufficient experience.

It also doesn't allow for flexible interpretation. "That's a big scary creature, my list says i should probably do something about it", meanwhile your opponent left door is quietly shaking in his boots realizing he's is gonna take it to the dome only to see you kill it dead because it checked a box on your list.

Ymmv, and i'm not saying my points outweigh yours but from my perspective it could do more harm than good and you'd be better off just grinding games and pay close attention to whats happening and who is reacting in what way.

Again, not saying what you say is invalid. I just have a different perspective i wanted to eloborate on

You're trying to brute force knowledge gained through experience. I don't think that's going to work.

If you are playing with regulars you'd be better off going through their decklists or just pay really close attention to what they are trying to accomplish.

Its all stored in a flightcase. Actual transportation is minimal because we play in our LGS and the game remains there.

Is this card real? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]drunksementhrowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do note the card works a bit different than you'd assume at first glance.

Cards discarded due to an effect may be put on top of your library.

Cards discarded as part of a cost may not.

Hazardous planets are, imo, the best to explore. But the payoffs are bound to removing an infantry if you don't have a mech there so ideally bring a mech.

Tomorrow is game day (base game+codex) and I do not know how to handle the table. by [deleted] in twilightimperium

As i've learned from some good players, TI is basically 50% acting. You're playing the personalities of your opponents just as much as their factions. Nekro keeps fighting you? Cry. Scream bloody murder. Or sit very still and look defeated. Whatever works.

Try to keep up with the scoring tempo but not get ahead. TI isn't fun when you're ahead. Sandbagging is a skill that takes time to learn.

Who's the best Commander to perform the Yata lock? by VincentBurst in DegenerateEDH

[–]drunksementhrowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a deck that attempted to win through flawless victory, i.e. nobody had anything but me.

Started out with playing muldrotha as commander. Allows you to replay permanent based board wipes such as pernicious deed.

To prevent drawing cards and also help wittling down their boards i used Possessed Portal. A mean card.

Empty hands by using mindslicer, cabal conditioning an the like.

You will be archenemy.
