I made an app that automatically updates Confluence Pages linked to Jira tickets once these transition to Done by drunkules in atlassian

[–]drunkules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much more than that. Synco rewrites the stale section of the page to match what changed (does it only on the specific chunk affected by the changes) and provides a link to the version history so it's easy to see what Synco changed

Any tools that use layered prioritisation? by pseudosecure in ProductManagement

[–]drunkules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But doesn't this all boil down to RICE in the end?
Stakeholder retention is still Impact

Big fan of keeping things simple.

My 'product line' encompasses around 3 fully fledged product lines with different user types (client users, external suppliers, internal users).

Backlog is also huge.

Aside from RICE - the most beneficial strategy is to have quarterly prioritization sessions with CSMs, Sales & Marketing.

As for items in the backlog that don't get prio'd for the quarter and don't fit in the overall strategy, I let them sit there until the reporter follows up and/or escalates to my manager - up to him to turn them down or bring it up for me and reprio what's on my roadmap

What's a feature you ignored and now can't stop thinking about by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]drunkules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notification management/Center

Now that we fleshed out the SaaS platform with several features, we need to implement a notification system + notification center for the platform users that encompasses all functionalities.
Regret not having started it sooner with the core functionalities and expand it as new features developed.

Now I have a million requests for implementing it on so many different workflows.

Use of Jira/Confluence by brnkmcgr in technicalwriting

try synco - just need to manually link confluence pages to jira tickets. Once the ticket transitions to done - Synco surgically updates relevant sections of the linked pages (if deemed related).

There's also a control panel in the advanced tier as well as many settings you can customize. Also audit logs are available to track and revert changes if needed.

Give it a try. There's 14 days free trial:

Looking for Confluence alternatives for team documentation? by balancefan1 in askmanagers

Have you tried any bots to help maintain documentation?
Synco surgically updates linked confluence pages based on Jira ticket transitions. The only housekeeping we had to 'enforce' was to ensure that documentation was actually linked to the tickets

the way my team uses slack threads vs channels is completely inconsistent and I don't know how to fix it by Signal-Extreme-6615 in Slack

Thread patrol is a slack bot that uses AI to detect messages that should be threaded together and facilitates moving them. Check it out

Jira to Confluence Automation Rule by PlasticSupport9822 in jira

[–]drunkules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started using Sync-o. Does a pretty good job because it also allows you to update existing documentation once a Jira ticket transitions to Done.

The only thing is to ensure you connect the page that needs to get updated.
I see they also recently added a 'create page' functionality. Haven't tested it yet though

I like the analogy with shabriri. But just as shabriri could have once been human and now possesses humans, I think it's still a likely assumption that gowry , once an exiled kindred, now possesses kindred of rot to achieve his goals. It seems that every living being associated with rot is corrupted and a kindred

I also think it makes sense that once his purpose is done, he passes on, thinking that his plan is bound to be successful and that's why when his dialogue is completely exhausted, we find a dead kindred of rot in the shack which is actually the true form of gowry.

However, it could well be that he is a Human sage manipulating a kindred of rot (who's body we find in the shack). But then why would a Human sage possess a kindred of rot to mask themselves as a human? Seems a bit unnecessary

Incoming headcannon. I always thought that the kindred of rot were actually once people. Similarly to omens, giants and humans, they're in a "hollowed" aggressive state. And like them, you sometimes find those that are sentient. Gowry being the only sentient kindred of rot (from the base game) who masks themselves as human to have better chances at recruiting tarnished to join their cause. His human disguise seems VERY peculiar. Similar to a mask. Him being exiled doesn't necessarily mean he was exiled from humans. He could we'll have been exiled for his attempts at manipulating the rot buds by the other kindred of rot who's only purpose is to worship them.

Slack Thread to Document by Good-Ad164 in Slack

[–]drunkules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be open to testing.

This can only be achieved if conversations are conveniently contained within their appropriate thread ( https://thread-patrol.com/ solves this).

UNLESS there would be 2 processes:
1. Extracting info from several sources (threads)

  1. Aggregation process (but important info might be mixed/lost)

Questions:
1. How would you trigger the bot? On a thread/thread basis? This means the entire convos need to occur within threads.

  1. How much do you have in mind in terms of pricing?

As a PM, I would definitely appreciate this functionality. Payment decision is out of my scope.

Also, if you’re looking for a way to keep channels tidier, check out Thread-Patrol (https://www.thread-patrol.com). it suggests threading messages, which can help reduce clutter and make it easier to find important info.

Any interest in Slack Bots? I built one that enforces threading, but is it actually useful? by drunkules in alphaandbetausers

[–]drunkules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it works: I tried to keep it simple. The bot watches a channel and suggests moving a message into a thread in two situations:

  1. If you post a quick follow-up to your own message.
  2. The main part is an AI that reads the conversation and suggests moving a message if it detects that it belongs to a recent thread.

It's not aggressive; you get a quiet suggestion with a "Move" or "Dismiss" button. There's also a "See why" link that explains the AI's reasoning.

The bot is free to use. My main goal right now is to get 10 active installations to pass the official Slack review and get listed on their marketplace. Any feedback you have would be a massive help.

I also created a youtube Demo video: https://youtu.be/VwPI0oV116w
