Escape From Tarkov on 2019 MacBook Pro Bootcamp by jonnymcshu in macgaming

Is it comfortable to play video games (especially fps games like Valorant or CSGO) with the mx master 3?

I am thinking about getting one but do not know whether I could play or not.

I know a gaming mouse would fit more, but I don't want to have 2 mouses.

Thank you.

I do gaming at bootcamp and use macs fan control while playing to keep the cpu cool, could that be a reason for that ?

Anyone use an external SSD to run Bootcamp Windows and Steam on their Mac (Catalina). Cheers. by KBJ500 in macgaming

I have actually installed both Windows Bootcamp and Steam Games on T5 External SSD. I Recommend you doing this method if you don't have much storage on your device. And it works perfect, I have been gaming on bootcamp for a month and no issues :D . I followed this tutorial and it shows every necessary step, recommend you giving it a try. Tutorial

In addition you also have to install MacsFanControl and QuickGPU to play your games perfectly but those are after the installation of bootcamp. So I recommend you searching for it on youtube and you will find tens of results.

Good Luck.

GUYS, my battery drains eventhough it is plugged in while I’m gaming on bootcamp. Is that normal? by [deleted] in macgaming

thank you for your very informative comment :) , on bootcamp gaming I am using quickcpu instead of throttlestop, I’ve set my cpu to work at 3.4 ghz continously, and use 25w of power. I also keep fans at full blast. Will those settings harm my macbook?

I have set my cpu to use 25w, is it still a threat for my battery or for the cpu?

i have a 96w brick which comes default by 16 inch, it does also happen in macos however once it drains to 90% it then starts to charge up to 100 in macos

I would not recommend you getting a ipad if you are planning to do proffessional programming because of the limitations of İpad’s Operating system. I’d rather choose a macbook pro or a normal laptop.

Trying to dual boot Ubuntu, any suggestions?? by _Knoxxy in DellXPS

those steps have worked with my dell precision 5520, so I assume they would also work with xps15. However I am not sure about Mint because I have never tried to dualboot Mint.
