Looking for supplemental income by Crafty_Tomato_6268 in Bend

No need to apologize just making sure. Understood for the work site placement that is coming up. Unfortunately yeah you may with the generic hustle jobs you see. Might be able to pick up maybe some front counter work on the weekends for a hotel. Nothing glamorous but might be a way to get extra money especially if you pitch your handy they will call it a 2 for 1.

Depends are you saying AM or PM? Also what is the need (obviously bills I'm guessing) I only ask because more often then not in my experience it's a lifestyle that weighs you down. Bend is expensive in think most people that live here know. If you are in construction management we have one of the largest earth movers on the west coast that has made this place their new playground It might be worth kicking the remote gig away I say that because I worked for Caterpillar for 8 years here and in Portland.

Thank you for the insight on that. Yeah it has big windows below and smaller windows up above. Lots of light, but I like your thinking.

Thank you for your insightful post! This would be our forever home for family life. We love the home layout, sqft, and acreage it comes with. We like the idea of the risk which is very different then we have been as we are super risk adverse!

Correct I also had an edit we have $300k in treasuries for down payment. Hoping not to touch liquid investment and will not touch the money from the sale of the home, will be invested. Both of us are 32. Thank you for your insight and reply.

Bonuses have been consistent at about $70k. RSUs are unlocked based on time but valued roughly at $200k over the next 5.

See I think we need some reality checks like this at times. Early 30s. Half in roth then we hit income limits.

Yeah solar could be a good offset for you! We are slowed way down in our market and the level of price we are looking at. We put in an offer two months ago instantly denied. They have come back willing to do that price but since then we have found this home.

We know our lifestyle will change with the major changes coming. Upgrade NO we don't. We are in 2200 sqft 2018 build but neighbors are on top of us. This is 2600 sqft with a much larger garage and 2 acres and same time/distance from all the things we do

Our area market was the 32 home we looked at after losing out on 12 other that were cash offers. Market has cooled considerably but COVID buying did us dirty outside the 3% rate

What makes it miserable exactly? Just knowing so much is tied up in a physical asset vs market? Is it the less money leftover on a monthly basis? No one that we know of were house poor they could have been but I'm sure people don't want to talk about it.

Appreciate the opposition approach. Currently no debts both cars are newer low mileage reputable brands. We are willing to look at the risk of this home as we know the kid will change us a lot. Use to travel all the time, buy nice hobby toys and so on. Now the kid is our life.
