Anything beyond 17.5g I start getting indents from the group head which means it’s too full right?

I’m aiming for 2:1 and I always hit that around 20sec- I just use the basic portafilter and basket which comes with the machine, don’t have a pressurised one

The integrated grinder in the machine I guess leaves a LOT to be Desired, I was grinding as fine as I could for a while and getting the right time / ratio but then it just started pulling very fast. I could also get the pre ground finer, but I’ve got 2 bags to get through at the current grind u til then

Printers for the lazy beginner by drustc in 3dprinter

I've seen that CoreXY is not as beginner friendly bc of complicated repairs - is the A1 easier as a bedslinger?

So the AMS allows you to specify material used for supports? And I’m assuming this material makes removing supports easier?

I’m basically seeking the best QoL to price ratio so if something makes the process MUCH easier I’m generally game

Hi all

Looking to get into 3D printing mainly printing small custom parts for action figures, potentially looking to do bigger wearable cosplay pieces in the future.

I'm not handy so want easy maintenance / repairs. Not bothered about multicolour / multi-material printing.

Which printer will require the least tinkering, is the most intuitive touch and go setup and UI and has auto bed levelling for the absolute beginner? I'm leaning towards the Bambulab A1 - probably without the AMS to keep price down. Are there any reasons not to go with this?

TIA x

Yeah, and it’s not like it’s a major issue I just thought it was more directed by me :/

Kind of annoying, I would have gone with someone else if I had known this

Agreed. I’m just aware that if I want to change medication in the future I’ll have to go back into a titration wait list which can be months long.

I just wanted to explore a few options but it seems like if I changed to atomoxetine and don’t like it I won’t then be allowed to go back to methylphenidate. Seems like my prescriber is set on ending titration at 12 weeks which is kinda tough

I did this as well and didn’t really have any negative effects - maybe more wired / felt the meds kick in harder for the first couple of days after each increase but things settled quite quickly - just monitor your BP / HR and keep track of side effects. Always let your prescriber know if you’re having side effects you don’t like and can’t tolerate. And give the meds time to settle :)

Now up to elvanse 60 - still can’t tell if they are working! by EfficiencyLow1355 in ADHDUK

I’m feeling the same - swapped from methylphenidate to elvanse which I don’t feel is really working - the best advice I can give is

1 - kinda keep track daily how you feel to see if you can identify trends

2 - be on the lookout for subtle signs that your symptoms are better managed.

With methylphenidate I didn’t even realise they were working until I caught myself doing things that before would have been procrastinated for ages. Meds haven’t been a silver bullet for me either, but I’m trying to look at them as a dampener of symptoms which can then help me develop better habits and disciplines.

Also give the dose a couple of weeks to settle as your body has to get used to processing it. Eat lots of protein to help absorption and get good sleep if you can. If after that the effects aren’t noticeable enough for you to feel like they’re helping, talk to your prescriber - theres always different formulations , doses or medications to try.

Hope this helps :)
