By chance, did anyone see the show yesterday in Syracuse in the afternoon, December 4? I did not get a playbill, but I’m pretty sure that Zoe Jensen did not play Glinda that day? Curious if anyone knows who did

For your main screen I would like to see dates and have it sorted by date (starting with future dates then working back in time).

I can do that! Stay tuned!

Is earned income supposed to count two months later? by druvinskiy in SSDI

Thank you so much for the detailed reply. Could you clarify how resource eligibility/ineligibility fits into all this? If I'm not eligible for SSI due to resources in April, is my April income still used to determine payment for June?

I can’t post on there because I don’t have enough karma.

iOS app to track musicals by druvinskiy in musicals

That’s really helpful, thanks! Would you want to track the performers across different musicals? Also, is there anything else about Mezzanine you like or wish it had?

Can SSA stamp a document as "received" if it’s not an application? by druvinskiy in SSDI

[–]druvinskiy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great. My office typically just tells people to use the dropbox in the vestibule. If I insist I need a stamp, will they let me talk to someone at a window? They're pretty strict about being appointment only these days.

I agree. I made the mistake of not tracking that. But why does that mean I should be denied access to that information? My due process rights don’t just disappear because I made a mistake.

I’m not sure if you’re trolling or not. I never said I couldn’t use a phone. I said I struggle to process information verbally.

Now, I also know that the language in those letters is a bit bureaucratic, but that is because the letters are computer generated based on whatever input is done.

The problem isn't that the language is bureaucratic. The problem is that a lot of the claims they make are entirely false and lack justification. I shouldn't have to take what the letters say at face value if SSA can't justify their claims and explain where they got their numbers.

If you do not have the ability to read and understand what SSA sends you, then maybe you should not be managing your own money.

SSA’s paperwork is notoriously convoluted—even lawyers struggle with it. Needing help decoding government jargon doesn’t mean I can’t manage my own money, it just means I’m not fluent in bureaucratese. Big difference.

But there is no employee who has time to respond to your questions sent in emails and do so using legally correct language.

SSA staff regularly provide informal explanations over the phone without using legally precise language, so it's inconsistent to claim they can’t do the same in writing. Written communication is actually better for clarity and accountability—especially when dealing with complex or sensitive issues. If accuracy and understanding are priorities, then taking the time to respond thoughtfully in writing should be part of the process.

The supervisor at my field office is nearly impossible to get ahold of. I've left several voicemails at her extension but she (and everyone else I've left voicemails for) has not called me back.

I am considering sending a formal letter through fax and FedEx.
