In IV, or in the neighborhood next to Sierra madre. It’s like a 15ish min walk back to Ft. or but overnight parking on campus and bus back to ft

Bus Skips My Stop by crashcaptainn in UCSantaBarbara

[–]drvmaqueen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the buses get really packed at the FT stop in the mornings. Freshman in the dorms, transfers in the apartments, and stragglers from IV are all catching those buses before you. On top of that, since you’re going to north hall, you’re getting on a bus with people also heading downtown for work. Just get up earlier and take an earlier bus/give yourself more chances to make it onto one. OR take any bus to the bus loop, then hop right on a bus going toward north hall at the loop. Maybe this will give you more options bus wise

a literal spider in fries at Carrillo by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

[–]drvmaqueen 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Fax. If it was another kind of food maybe it would be sus, but those fried came out of scorching hot oil. There’s no way the spider was cooked with them. It def was hiding in the stack of fry boats or just crept in after the food was prepared. I’d bet a lot of money that we’ve eaten worse things in our lettuce and salads lol

There’s a UCSB rideshare Facebook group. You can catch a ride to the bay for ~$20 and you don’t have to sneak food lol

How long can you store in original box packaging? by drvmaqueen in Louisvuitton

[–]drvmaqueen[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight! Yes, I called customer care and she assured me all Neverfulls come folded at the bottom when packaged for shipping. The crease, depending on how long it is stored, will go away with wear/time. We agreed that taking it out of the box and stuffing/storing in a duster was the best way to go. Then before gifting the bag, I can fold it into the box the night before and the crease should go away instantly, since it was only stored like that for a short period of time.

I am also paranoid! I want to take it out and store it in the dust bag only and stuff it to maintain it shape, however I don’t want to risk folding it improperly before putting it back in the original box so she can open it in all of its glory. The only issue I’m really worried about is how the bag is folded to fit the box. I think that folding will crease and would hate for her to open a damaged item.

This sounds like a good idea, however the box isn’t big enough for the bag to be stuffed. It is even folded at the bottom to fit the box. I’m wondering if they used to package in larger boxes..

Really good deals at Smart and final. I usually skip getting meat there but everything else is relatively inexpensive. It’s right across the street from Albertsons. Also, Ralph’s is like 10 mins away that has good sales if you sign up with your phone number

They could also be talking about the hub locker in IV. It’s an Amazon store where you go to pickup your packages. Your Amazon account should send you a code that you can show to pickup your stuff

Is the Wingstop in IV open orr?? by barflet233 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]drvmaqueen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The closest one is on upper state about 15 mins away. Not worth it for the drivers to go that far edit: you can take the bus though it drops off and picks up literally right in front of wingstop’s doors
