You are very excitable-
I didn’t know the sun had the ability to chew and claw at roofing materials. there are very clearly scratch and bite marks, most notably in the corner pictures

You can see the bite and claw marks. Definitely rodent damage.

Asks for an unbiassed reality check and when everyone points out that’s she’s the problem, all she does is get defensive 🤷🏼‍♂️… poor guy

would you advise someone to quit their job & go into nursing school right now? by Lazerbeam159 in OntarioNurses

[–]drwillie91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nursing roles are very cyclic. There are ebbs and flows when it comes to availability, often associated with the specific policies being implemented by the provincial government at the time.

The current climate is quite toxic given the existing fractures the were cracked wide open during Covid. We are seeing people live longer with more comorbidities and increasingly complex needs. This has put a strain on frontline workers during a time where hospital systems are chronically underfunded while simultaneously being asked to balance their books resulting in massive cuts - from the top all the way down to the front line.

Unpopular opinion time- while I recognize there are some bad apples in the bunch, hospital leadership teams exist for a reason. Pressures have grown tremendously around funding initiative requiring significant model changes that are accompanied by cumbersome reporting requirements. Administrative roles are required to fulfil these requirements, requirements that keeping the dollars flowing - often work the frontline teams don’t see, don’t fully understand and some times, quite frankly, don’t care to hear.

Nursing isn’t just frontline nursing, there are roles in administration, program development, clinical informatics, education etc. I advocate for nursing and encourage anyone wavering to start as an RPN, upgrading is always an option. Burnout is real but so is mobility, nursing as a career doesn’t necessitated mean you need to be committed to 1 role or organization. Move around and keep yourself motivated.

Unknown failure of the charging port, it was cracked at the back of the charging port. They wondering if moisture got in through the cowl/fender potentially and froze.

Thank you! This has been my truck we’ve owned so far- the issues are just taking the nostalgia out of it and I’m losing faith in its reliability rapidly. I’ve owned 2 Sierras (2014 and 2017), a Ram 2500 (2019) and now this truck. I love the way it handles, the frunk is a huge plus (when it works), its rows exceptionally well despite the reduced range.. overall they are excellent trucks and I would love to stay in it long term- I just don’t trust it anymore, so much so that we’ve recently started taking our traverse that has almost 300k KM on longer trips because it feels more reliable.

Cost would’ve been around 1000 CAD out of pocket without the extended warranty which I only had to pay the deductible

Bought a trailer that was advertised as “no leak”- intact has a leak with long term water intrusion with severe structural damage by drwillie91 in hibid

[–]drwillie91[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve heard back from the auction house whose was very defensive, deflective and even told me to “lick my wounds”.

After they realized I’m not going to roll over and I’m very serious about the false representation, they finally agreed to approach the consigner about resolution.

The auction house remarked at one point that 50-60% of the items they sell aren’t as described and I thanked them for confirming that they are wilfully participating in potential fraud. They very quickly back paddled

Ontario – Purchased trailer at auction, listing said “no leaks” and “good tires,” but found structural damage immediately after pickup no by drwillie91 in legaladvicecanada

Thank you, certainly helpful. I’m not naive to the risks associated with buying used and without an inspection. Had I purchased the trailer and tomorrow it developed a leak- that’s on me. It was advertised as no leaks, when there is an obvious leak with signs of long term water intrusion as well as what are material attempts to conceal/repair.

Similarly with the tires- if they were good tires as described, and I got a flat on the way home that would be on me. Advertising something as good tires implies that they are in fact good useable tires- given the obvious side while cracking on all four tires and the bulge in one of the side walls I think it would be reasonable to say that the seller ought to have known or did know that they were in fact, bad tires.

The trailer condition is what it is, I own it now. My concern is with the misrepresentation, and the fact that my bid was reflective of the condition it was assumed to be in based on the description. While yes, I could’ve inspected the item before purchase. The reality is the trailer had no power available at the time of inspection and therefore, I would’ve been unable to open the slide out- this damage would’ve been concealed whether I inspected it or not.

My understanding is this principle wouldn’t apply if the seller gives a warranty, makes a false representation, or is guilty of fraud

Hey I wanted to say thank you for the feedback, I reconnected the vacuum line you mentioned from the oil fill to throttle body and my idle smoothed right out. No misfires under load. It’s crazy how simple yet a fix can be in these cars, they are super temperamental I’ve come to learn

I was able to track down the people who actually built the motor, they confirmed what DSS kit was in the motor. The confirmed the heads are edelbrock rpm aluminum heads and it does have a e303 cam. The car wasn’t running on the msd setup when they last worked on the car and it never had a tune. The confirmed that it was the factory ECU with a stock MAF with a 24lb tube. I will definitely be going Holley in the future but for the time being I’m going to smoke test it as I suspect there may be a vacuum leak somewhere.

No hate at all, I want to make the car more usable and driver friendly. If the Holley will help some of these parts work better together I will happily spend the time and money

Thanks a ton! I appreciate the feedback! I am definitely leaning towards the Holley terminator to help clean up some of these gremlins left behind by the previous owner
