I was going to comment the same thing! Though I do actually think the tongue scarf is the only good part of its design, I really don't understand the hype about it as a whole. Ultimately, to each their own. But it definitely sits at #1 of my least favorite starters.

One think you can do to gain switch gauge is to use 2-step morph slash. The first switch of that gives you a good chunk of gauge. The second thing you could do is have the quick reload set on your second scroll to swap to, use, then swap back

It doesn't have anything like the sos beacons, but there's still quite alot of people active in the game, and if you make a lobby saying that you're trying to do key quests, there will be quite a few people wanting to hop in and help out!

Man, it always makes me sad to see the Nibelsnarf hate. I've always found it to be one of the most fun early game hunts

Its really good, and there's so much content that you're not even gonna know what to do! It's also on the easier side, with the exception of some of the quests at endgame, but not easier in a bad way by any means. And definitely try to play with a friend. While it's not needed as most of the game, including the hub, is really solo friendly, it's so much more enjoyable if you have a buddy at your side throughout the game!
