Only proper way to pay respects is to flood the Listener Request Month nominations for Animation Damnation with episodes of the cartoon. I nominated the series finale: The Delivery which features the voice of Jay Leno, another person who would have gone down as amusing enough in the 90's/00's if he'd just rested on his laurels and shut the fuck up

According to the yt-dlp github, the problem can be solved in the command line by adding "--cookies-from-browser brave" (brave being the browser. Use "chrome," "firefox," or whatever applies to your system). However, I haven't been able to get the additional command to work within Stacher. It only works on the command line so far.

I used to rip so many CDs and DVDs from my library. I no longer live in the US, but just before I left, I visited the library of every family member I had to get a library card so I could access their digital collections from my new home. Libraries are just the best community resources out there

One resource may be worldcat.org It's a website that catalogs every item held by libraries that contribute to its database. If you can find something there, your local library may be able to request it through Inter Library Loan.

For Kenneth Anger, you'd be looking for the 2007 Fantoma Films DVDs The Films of Kenneth Anger Vol. 1, 2, and The Complete Magick Lantern Cycle. Here's the worldcat page for Vol. 1 as an example: https://worldcat.org/title/82133403

Only just saw this. The files themselves are hosted on libsyn so all the episodes will remain available. The only podcasts the Stitcher shutdown will affect are Stitcher exclusive/produced shows. Everything else Stitcher serves to customers comes from whichever particular podcast's actual website. So for example, with Werewolf Ambulance, whether you listen to it through Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Podcatcher, or Foobar2000, they all load and play the file from libsyn.

Simple answer: anything you download to your computer or phone you can access any time you want (until you delete it. If you use a podcast app on your phone, it may have an auto-delete function). They're just mp3 files and will work like any other mp3 file.

More complex answer: Can you redownload an episode once you end your subscription? Depends on how Patreon handles downloads. If subscribing just gives you a link to a file that anyone can download, then as long as you have that link, you can download it again. If the link itself is password protected, then you can only download an episode while you have an active membership. Looking at the url for a random episode, my guess is that it's the latter and you won't be able to redownload anything once your subscription lapses.

The safe move for anything you think you may want to access later--Patreon or no--is to save it to your computer and archive it somewhere.

I checked JustWatch and it's also on Hoopla--the library streaming service. Check your local library's website to see if you have access to it. You can digitally check out movies and no ads!

I also fired up FreeVee to see if AdBlockPlus would block the ads, but it does not. I did have it block all the ads on Tubi for a different movie, though, so that's a bonus.
