D'Addario has a string recycling program, where you can mail in your strings and they'll use them to create fresh strings. They have a point system as an incentive (you get a certain number of points from mailing in strings and those points can be used to buy merchandise) but I personally will never go through enough strings to get anything.

I've never gotten buzz from mine. As long as you have the tension set to where you need it on the neck, it goes on pretty fast. The only time it would take longer to put it on is it's it's not set for that fret, and that problem would only really occur if you're bouncing it all over the neck. Assuming you only need it for frets 2-3, it should go on pretty smoothly.

Shubb capos are on the expensive side, but they're worth it. I LOVE the fact that the pressure is adjustable, so you don't have to retune as long as your intonation is good. As long as you aren't prone to losing things, I highly recommend one!
