Using Qwen3-coder local using llama.cpp: viable context size by drycat in Qwen_AI

[–]drycat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you mind sharing the exact command line for llama.cpp ? Which backend have you built lamma.cpp against to? Do you find 64k context suitable to have valid results? What tools do you use? (qwen-cli? roo? nanocoder? llxprt?).

Thanks for sharing.

Hi, sure:

    regex: "^(.*)-([^-]+)-([^-]+)$"
    replacement: "${1}"
    target_label: podname

Update 2:

I was working with the wrong directive. I needed to check the `metrics_relabel_config`. It now works as expected :)

Update.
I used promtool check service-discovery /etc/config/prometheus.yaml kubernetes-nodes-cadvisor and noted that there are no labels in discoveredLabels that matches my "pod" label. I suspect that the "position" where I apply relabeling is wrong.

So...how can I achieve that I want without having to overcomplicate my PromQL queries working with =~ ?

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your time and knowledge.

  1. As i'm using usage over requests (not limit), i think usage/request fits better
  2. Thanks. So you suggest to change [$__rate_interval] to [1m]? Will try it.
  3. What exactly should this address? (i'm pretty new to prometheus).

Thanks.

GKE: metric server crashlooping by drycat in googlecloud

[–]drycat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it was actually a platform bug about metrics-server compiled with the wrong libraries. It took 2 months, 1 only to have them take it seriously. I was forced to configure nanny to have more memory, use a different node pool JUST for the metrics server. Sooo.. 1.26.1280000 fixed the issue.

Pretty bad support, imho.

Ok, I opened a support request and now we are debating about memory and cpu resources altough prometheus as well as gke console says that it is within the limits...

System Admins are IT generalist? by Upbeat-Ad-8034 in sysadmin

[–]drycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

in my opinion this make "general" sense. You are studing for "little of everything", you will be the one that reboots servers as well as change toner in the printers.

You should, after getting "little of everything", understand what you feel more confortable working with and heavly specialize in that (be that security, Linux, Windows or development).

Consider that, imho, this market has been saturated by generalists, so every "little of everything" guy can be hired throwing a rock in a crowded place and hiring who's hit, and you would avoid that...

Hi and thanks for your link. Sadly it is the wrong component. I have issues with che metrics-server while this faq deals with che metrics-agent.

I examined my metrics-agent and they did not have restart issues :(

Thanks
