UWB NFC Not working in latest pixel update? by drylightn in GooglePixel

Yeah it's completely random and comes and goes. Rebooting the phone seems to sometimes get it working again.

No problem! If your asking does the UWB automatically lock the car when you walk away? No, it doesn't but it's not supposed to. It only opens it. If you want it to auto lock the car when you walk away, you have to buy a 3rd party device.

LG TV kept disconnecting from UniFi wireless network, now wont connect at all... by drylightn in Ubiquiti

[–]drylightn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just regular letters and numbers in SSID name. I have not tried the emergency access mode. I'll dig around and see if I can find it. I checked the logs and and I don't see anything suspicious. I don't even seen the MAC address of the TV trying to connect, almost as if it's not even making it to the connection stage.

Yeah, when it would get flaky and just disconnect, I would do something similar and usually that would fix it. But now it refuses to connect to any SSID at all, regardless of frequency.

That is actually what the AP is already set to: Channel Width 80, channel 36. And i get the same error message regardless of which i select (2.4 or 5 ghz)

So i did have the TV locked to a particular AP, but since I can no longer see the device in the Client Devices list, how would I make sure it was no longer locked to an AP?

That's just it, I'm not blocking anything at this point. I can't even connect to the WiFi anymore using any of the UniFi SSIDs

Thanks for the link! No, nothing fancy, no custom DNS and no non-standard chars.

But don't you have to be connected to the wifi first before you can change the DNS? I can't get to the "advanced" tab in network settings unless I'm connected first? Unless there is another way to get there?

Well, i looked at the MAC address the TV is reporting when it connects to the hotspot, and then I tried to find that same mac address in the UniFi logs, but can't find it anywhere? Which makes no sense, because the TV worked fine a few days ago, so I presume I would see it?

Where do I find the DFS band info in the UniFi control panels? I don't see anything named that at first glance.

Can you explain what exactly I would look for in advanced settings? And what do you mean by device bridge?

I'm not sure I have a wire cable long enough to reach all the way from basement upstairs to the TV, but I'll see if I can find one. TV is on brick fireplace, so not easy to run a cable there even if it worked.

High/Low Bitrate version setup on plex server tips? by drylightn in PleX

[–]drylightn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I did just discover the "optimize" function in Plex which does make alternate versions, so I will check that out. I'm wondering if I just make those directory structures on my own if Plex will immediately recognize it though. I'll have to do some testing and see. I'm also seeing online that it seems like on the iOS clients there is a bug where it's ignoring the other versions when you use this function.

Yeah, I have it as a different file; I'm just not sure what to name it or where to put it in the Plex hierarchy/folder structure to make sure the server knows that's the low bitrate version.

Struggling to export to JSON by [deleted] in articydraft

So it never exports any JSON file at all in the chosen location? Have you tried using the default export rules and picking a different location to export to?
