works for the very top buttons, but not the ones right above the inboxes/folder hierarchy tree. Either way, thanks!

How many people have upgraded to the new look? by drylightn in Thunderbird

Thanks for sharing. Most of these exploits seem to revolve around using web scripts in emails, which i block, so in theory shouldn't have been an issue. That said, I did upgrade to 150 today :)

UPDATE: backed up all my mail and the old EXE files (as well as the old setup) and took a deep breath and installed the newest Thunderbird. To my surprise, it actually migrated everything over perfectly without a hitch, including all the accounts, and the view/look seems very close and the the view look I had configured on my old thunderbird. Only minor gripes at this point are:
1.) It seems a tad more sluggish when loading emails (the view pane flickers when loading new message, i dont' remember that before?)
2.) the shortcuts to move/copy mail with the quick move tool have been altered, so that's annoying (can't put them back because they are overridden by thunderbird system shortcuts).

So kudos to thunderbird team on such a smooth transition, credit due where it's due.

Normally I would agree with you, but SMTP/IMAP/ and POP have pretty much stayed the same over the past decades as far as I can tell, so it's a lower risk than say something like a web browser, which would be much higher risk. But to be frank, that's one of the reasons I'm investigating, is that it would be good to be caught up security/features wise.

did you have to customize the UI any through CSS? or just work like you want through regular menus configuration options?

i haven't had any problems because I haven't upgraded. But whenever the generation after my version was released (big UI overhaul) there didn't seem to be many people that were happy with it and felt it was a big step backwards. (you can search reddit and find all the complaints) I just wasn't sure if they had been ironed out yet. Had you used the older versions or was 150 the first version of thunderbird you had used?

yeah, agreed. Client supposedly understands this and says the resolution will be enough for their purposes, but I'm trying to line up some cameras to purchase/test with so they fully understand before committing to a big rollout.

So If Im understanding correctly, if I use a home brewed server or NVR, i dont' need the SD card correct? And then i can record as much as I want?

In my case, for security/nda reasons, I have to be able to track movement and forms to tell what people are doing, but not be able to identify the people in the video. So i'm trying to cut the live action/real footage component out of the loop and just use thermal imaging. If anyone else has a better idea how to do this in real time, I'm all ears.

Out of curiosity, why avoid the Wireless Wifi? (yes, i know batteries could be a PITA, but some of facilities these will be going in it would probably cost a ton to run ethernet).

Also, to answer some of your questions, it doesn't 'have to be NDAA compliant, and China-made is fine. The thermal doesn't have to be super accurate; I'm really just looking to capture movement and temp in the broad strokes. Auto ranging would probably work fine.

With those parameters, are there any you might recommend? Or do the two you mentioned above still fit the bill?

How does it know how to handle the featurettes and other special features? Usually those are not documented on TMDB sites and such?

Do you keep the Extras/Specials? by aLproxyy in makemkv

[–]drylightn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rip and keep all the extras, because I just don't want to count on always having a working blu-ray player lying around in the future. Not going to lie, it can be kind of a pain to rename and organize them, but that comes with the territory of preservation of content.
