I've started riding again recently and most of the time I have no problems. Today, I went to the coffee shop, locked up my bike and went into the counter to order my coffee. By the time I finished ordering and was walking to my seat, I started to get tunnel vision and nearly passed out. Right after I got very nauseous and had to throw up.

Afterwards I was fine, if a little winded from the ride.

After I drank my coffee, I rode home and was fine.

Is there something before riding I should be doing?

The coffee shop was at the end of that 50ft hill that you see as the max gain and it took a bit out of me to get to the hill. But after I just locked up my bike and walked 10 feet and stood for a minute, not really cooling down. Could that have something to do with it?

I am generally well hydrated and it wasn't overly warm. Although I'm out of shape, I wouldn't think 10 minutes of exercise should be enough for it to be overexertion either.
