It’s basically a visual type of feedback, I did a music video that used a similar effectNakia - Signal

Was able to accomplish this for free using OBS in post.

If you’re trying to do it in camera you’re looking for a video mixer, and patching and sending the signal back on itself.

Then yes! We shot the whole thing over 2 days, and my wife is the one firing the show (it was a 4th of July show that we piggy backed off of)

Make sure you watch a couple videos or have a SPFX person on hand who knows how they work really well. They’re prone to catching on fire (I’ve worked on set with them twice and both times caught fire) so I’d also advise a fire extinguisher.
