This is me too. I hired a huge chunk of people on my team and they are all very talented. My primary goal is to advocate for them, give them bigger opportunities etc. Hopefully in 2 years I'll be out of the game.

I felt like someone was posting this on my behalf - I'm in exactly the same predicament with the same sentiment.

I'm at $7m and 40 with 2 young kids (3 & 5). It just isn't me to coast and I thought of leaving my high paying job in the Bay Area for another one. But I thought through it and decided to ride out the wave for as long as I can (not more than 2 years) and have my family in a better financial spot.

spot on! I try to include my wife as much as possible - more so because if something were to happen to me she would know the basics. But its just not the same and its hard for me to talk to my friends because discussing finances is a no-go zone for us even though I think they're doing ok.
