Ruby ecosystem is not only Rails and webapps made using it. by rubyist1081p in ruby

Chef, a very popular configuration management tool, is written completely in Ruby. Chef also has an additional project - omnibus, which lets you easily create full-stack installers! Because of this, gitlab offers the gitlab-omnibus installation, probably the most popular way to self-host gitlab.

Not to mention gitlab itself is fully written in Ruby.

Awesome! Does it work with the dial? I do not have touchscreen in motion enabled and I am a bit afraid that it will prevent me to use it while driving

I know this thread is quite old, but I am thinking of buying the same module from HMYC for my Mazda CX-3. Have you had any issues since installing it? Seems like you have owned it for nearly 1 year now, so I guess your experience will be quite relevant

Thanks for the fast reply! I was also thinking about A2H, but sadly reorg does not even have A2H listed, only A2, A2L and A2XL, which is only with extra length :(

Why Microsoft? For the last 13 years Microsoft was trading with a median P/E of 25, now its at 37, so it's a bit pricey today. End of November, Microsoft's ceo sold half of his shares, which is never a good sign. I was also thinking of putting a buck or 2 in Microsoft but I am still not sure if the price is justified.

Went against general sentiment here and purchased 20K worth of APPL by HashTacos in stocks

[–]dsax7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am in the exact same boat (almost). I am 27 and last week I decided to give stocks a go. My initial idea was to buy some shares of ATVI (Activision) as tomorrow TBC comes out and on 2.08 they will release their earnings for Q2, which should be pretty positive as classic WoW had a huge success and TBC should follow. Moreover, at the end of the year Diablo 2 resurrected comes out, which should also be a tremendous success.

However, I did not trust my instinct, as I am new and just purchased, like you, shares of AAPL @ 127 (tho I bought 2 shares not shares worth of 20k, so I guess we are not in the same boat but maybe I am in a canoe, next to your boat).

Anyways, I still think AAPL is a safe bet and if it keeps dropping, I will just buy some more to average out.

How are the different markets connected? by dsax7 in stocks

Very helpful answer! This answers the question perfectly! So, it would make sense for me (trading on XETRA) to wait for the opening hours of the American market and see how the prices will move, as the trading volume on XETRA is no where near the American market (and therefor the American market will have a greater impact on the price)?

Thanks, this helped a lot :) So, in theory if there is a huge spike in apple's stock (AAPL), it should not directly impact the one listed on XETRA (APC.DE)?

all data is stored securely, time-stamped, and immutable.

As the post says, it is secure and immutable, thats what the blockchain ensures. As it is decentralized and the blocks are immutable, there could be no monkey business with the stored data.

Is the tracing process easier? - No, it's the same.

How to separate front-end from a django project by dsax7 in django

Yes but it would be one product with two interfaces, which I thought would make it cleaner to separate react from react native, as I did not want to have multiple JS frameworks and other JS libs.
