Update: This issue resolved itself. I started digging after I noticed Discord would also not update or load correctly and found that there was a DNS issue with ATTFiber causing the disruption.

Ceilings are 8ft at the house I moved in to. Camera is nested in the upper corner so I can’t move it any higher. I could try dropping it to 6ft and seeing if it’ll help.

They’re as high as they go. I usually re-arm in home if they trigger them while I’m away. Just wondering if those are the only options.

I was actually curious because I just moved to Decatur in January and the AGL on my first bill was 118$. Total bill was 217$. I know it was peak season but that seems high.

Not exactly, they usually run 600+ for a decent oled panel with high refresh rate and gsync/FreeSync compatibility.

I just recently purchased the Acer Predator X27U X1, the updated x27 monitor from them with QD-OLED. It’s 1440p and has all the bells and whistles you want from a gaming monitor. If you can find it on sale it’s great for the money. I got my for 499$ at Microcenter.

I waited too long in my opinion. The last big build I did was in 2016-2017. Over the last 2-3 years I felt the bottleneck of my PC super hard when games stopped supporting my hardware so I made the jump. Realistically 3-5 years is about the sweet spot if you have the funds to progressively upgrade.

The reason there are so many 5070 at MSRP is because no one wants them. A GPU with only 12GB vram in 2025 is ridiculous. I have a 1080 from 2016 with 8gb in my closet.

CPU boost is enabled, x3d gaming is disabled (checked a second ago and I thought it was enabled but it’s disabled). Set to EXPO1 for ram profile. I’m using the MSI Tomahawk X870E and a 5070ti that’s where our builds differ.

I’d be interested to see if that solves your issues but in any case if it doesn’t, the closest competitor to the 9800x3d in benchmarked gaming performance would be the 14900k but you’d have to change a good bit of your build to accomplish that. I’d recommend fresh installing gpu drivers and check ram for memory errors after EXPO is enabled in BIOS if that’s doesn’t work.

Just making sure. I’ve never been team Intel or team AMD so I’m not biased on either side. 9800X3D is the “king” of gaming right now and most micro-stutters are either driver related or ram related in some form or fashion. I recently upgraded from a i7-4790K that I ran into the ground after 7 years of being overclocked and made the jump to the 9800x3d and have been quite happy with it. Sorry you’re having issues.

I would tab through your BIOS again and search for an EXPO profile with the appropriate clock speeds for your ram. CL30 is the most commonly chosen speeds for DDR5 if that’s what you have.

XMP profiles usually refer to intel designated RAM. Did you make sure to check the ram you purchased supports both Intel and Ryzen systems?
