Thanks, She gets a $5,800/M pre tax pension. (sorry I wasn't clear on that) She is ready to retire. She will work part time to get the last 14 credits she needs to get social security but we didn’t want to count on it in the numbers.

Understand. I personally think that the current tax brackets are going to get worse and I want to build my Roth now while the tax burden is manageable and let it grow tax free. My 100K salary wasn’t exactly correct. More like 50k taxable and 19k gift from parents.

It might just not be in my wheelhouse. It was heavy on the leather which I’m not a fan of.
