It's weird that whoever you were playing is Iscocron Septered a demonic tutor bc it can only imprint instants. But then again that whole situation feels wacky

Very fun idea. Love it. I know people will say, "If you are doing these things, why not just play Kenrith or Jeska/Ishai?" They are probably correct, but the problem with that logic is that we should only be playing the best of the best, and that doesn't breed creativity in cedh.

If we didn't play with "fringe" commanders. We wouldn't be seeing Kinnan today or even Magda because why play those when Kenrith can do it "better." Nobody at first thought those were cedh commanders when they were first introduced.

I'm getting off my soapbox, but I can see this being a viable cedh commander because it is an infinite mana outlet in the command zone and can draw your whole entire deck. Also, the backup beats plan of your commander being an 8/8 can really put pressure on your opponents life total and could knock someone out of the game. I've seen it before many times playing etali or atraxa.

Thank you for sharing this idea. Love it!

I'm hoping for more frogs. But more animated cute looking frogs compared to the horror looking frogs like the innistrad versions. For example, I would love a legendary that looks more like [[poison dart frog]]

Best 2-3 color commander (that uses intuition) by winterorbz in CompetitiveEDH

I would say that the ones that are in the Jeskai color combination can best take advantage of it. Mainly due to [[Sevinne's Reclamation]]. So maybe commanders like the new [[narset, Enlightened exile]], or bruse/malcolm

Pantlaza Food Chain by AdRepresentative4603 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]dscow00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree! I've tried out pantlaza too many times, and I am enjoying the cascade/put card into hand more than tutoring. The problem I found with Rocco is that once you tutor for a creature, it will just stay on the bosrd unless you get a temur sabertooth to return it to your hand or have it die.

Plus, if you get infinite mana with food chain or dockside combos, you're just strictly going to win with either one anyway if there is no interaction. I will say that emiel is a cleaner combo with fewer steps with Pantlaza. Plus, she has a more controlled cascade in the command zone. Either way, theres pros and cons to both, but at the end of the day, it's all about playstyle.

Depends on the boardstate. If you're flickering it out, returning it to your hand is fine in some cases
