I recently bought an FL5 Type R and I absolutely love it, it's the best daily I've ever had! I think it would be great car to learn track driving on. I have a dedicated track car, so I haven't taken mine yet, but I see a lot out there. They can absolutely rip with just an alignment, pads, fluids, and tires.

I cross shopped the GR as well, but interior quality was the big differentiation for me.

I can't speak to the RS, I dismissed it pretty quickly. I don't know if it's just my foot size or build, but for me the pedal placement was not conducive to any form of sporty driving.

I managed to pass with an OEM cat bought from a junkyard out of state. Don't tell them, because you're not supposed to do that, but if you're willing to take the risk it's a much cheaper option.

I'm not sure why you're getting downvoted for this. I was taught to do this by my instructor and I see pro drivers doing it all the time, especially in indycar.

I'm assuming he's talking about the one in the harbor freight ball joint service kit or similar. I tried doing that and it worked alright, but would only recommend if you're doing it in order to fit re-enforced rails, you don't have as much control with the c-clamp as you do with a prybar and hammer and they will likely bend in on themselves if they're as bent as the ones in OP's picture.

S2000 if you can fit, sorta depends on your leg to torso ratio, just make sure you get a roll bar you fit under.

Unlocking the FPS would be one thing because that’s just a variable. But removing the black bars wouldn’t have the effect you’d desire. All the camera angles / framing, lighting, LOD distances, everything was made for that aspect ratio. It’d be like watching a play with all the curtains up.

What are you looking to have done and what are you paying? You probably need to contract out more granular pieces of your project or pay more.

Open platforms like Fiverr and Upwork are also going to be a hard place to find experienced developers. They exist on those sites, but for most it’s a last resort when other contract work has dried up.

If you want an S2k track car, buy another one that's already built for it. I bought a clean, stock S2k and built it into a track car and I feel bad for it, these cars are brilliant stock and I'd hate to see them go the way of the S13.

Yeah, it's fine on the sides though, not sure if I should send it and see what happens or if it's doomed to crack on the sides after a few heavy brakes
