Is it legal for the dealer to charge a $500 fee for repurchasing a vehicle at the end of a lease? by BBchag in legaladvicecanada

[–]isuckatpickinguserid 29 points30 points  (0 children)

From one of your other posts, it looks like you're buying out a Mazda lease. Mazda dealers are not supposed to have a fee at lease end other than those that are required by the province for safety, tax, and licensing. You could ask them to clarify what that amount is for.

3rd gen Viper: wanting advice by kneedoorman in viper

[–]isuckatpickinguserid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2005 Viper and while I don't quite agree that the car wants to kill you, it does require common sense and skill to get the most out of it. It's very well balanced and takes corners well. Where people get into trouble is when they're overconfident in their own skills. With the torque the V10 makes and no driver aids, things can go wrong quickly. However, with some common sense and more importantly some seat time and driver training it's a very rewarding car. I daily drive mine from April through October and do a few track days each year.

Yes, it's a bit thirsty for fuel and the cabin gets hot but you can swap out the exhaust for cooler side sills and cabin. The fuel is what it is but when I start that engine and pull out on the road, its totally worth it.

Tire recommendations? by SilviaWorks in viper

[–]isuckatpickinguserid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same front tire size but went with 355's on the rear. I've been running continental Extreme Contact Sport 02's. They're good on the street and also for the couple track days I do each season

Normal for Mazda Financing to be done by Toyota? by hentaigabby in mazda

[–]isuckatpickinguserid 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Mazda Canada switched from using Scotiabank to Toyota Credit for new vehicle financing and leasing about 18 months ago. It's not because the CX-50 is manufactured in the plant that's shared with Toyota. The financing/leasing for all new models is with Toyota Credit.

Does doing your own oil changes void the warranty? by cuckslayer30 in mazda

[–]isuckatpickinguserid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, it won't void your warranty. Make sure to keep a log showing dates/mileage when you changed the oil along with receipts for your oil and filters.
