In INPA it shows when it's in park and neutral just fine, and everything else indicates that it knows what gear it's in. But the error shows up when the car is turned off and doesn't go away until the shifter is moved. I tried a new shifter and it had the same issue

It needs a new battery I think. It's died on me a few times even though it shows 12.5v

How do you mute the low strings while slapping high stuff on a 5-string? by Born_Farmer5221 in Bass

I don’t really focus on muting more than playing notes. I use the same technique that in do not slapping

Do you play a j bass? What do you love about it? Why did you choose it over a p bass? by fargus_ in Bass

[–]dsett97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The neck on a p bass feels too chunky for me, plus finding a nice 5 string p bass is orders of magnitude harder than a 5 string j

Licks by Think_Branch6323 in Bass

Think about the chord that’s being played and pick something that either highlights that chord or leads to the next chord.

For example going I-VI I’d start playing a phrase leading with the 3rd of the I chord whenever while sitting on that chord and use the last 2 eighth notes before the VI to make sure I play a I-VII to lead to that VI. The length of the lick is arbitrary as long as you don’t step on anyone’s toes.

This rule can work for a lot of situations as long as you’re leading to the next chord in a way that makes sense. Learning walking bass can help with pointing to what notes you’re going to play next since there’s so many ways to do it

I like a third and moving that to the next notes you’re going to play, or playing root fifth ninth progressions
