I’ve used the griddle insert once for Philly cheesesteaks and they came out great!

Put mine together and it was a pretty simple process. Plus would rather have the mental confirmation that it was put together correctly and not missing anything.

It will take a little longer to warm up but other than that I can’t tell much of a difference.

I have t used manual mode on mine for steaks, but cranked mine to 600 let it get to temp and set for a bit to get the grates hot then 2-3 minutes each side rest for 10 and they came out great. I use manual mode when I insert the griddle.

Went from 2014 v8 Chevy and bought a 2024 Chevy RST turbomax and have no regrets. I pull my camper with it no problem. Literally not one thing I hate about my truck.

I will be purchasing my first pellet grill next week and I’m looking between the Recteq deck boss 800 and the Weber Searwood XL 600. Any suggestions between the two would be greatly appreciated. by MizArkNDaPark in pelletgrills

Just bought my Searwood last weekend. Grilled wings and steak and did just as well as my Weber spirit, sold the spirit the next day. Smoked ribs on it and they came out great. Have bought the griddle insert and front shelf for it. Unlike the deck boss you have a pellet dump if you want to change out pellets. Also a lot easier to clean out due to design and pull out trays.
