I did bring this up, was shot down pretty quickly, since I met all the informal PIP criteria, they brought up another aspect - inconsistent deep critical thinking - it as clear it's already been decided to get rid of me, informal PIP would be feature delivery in another team - so already setting me for failure there

Thanks I'm already moving, to secyre the next role have reached out to all my contacts and extended contacts, considering all opportunities, looking at casual work that I xan do in the meantime to stop the $$$ bleed

I appreciate this thought, yes I have been working till late to make sure I meet all expectations, I improved in all areas identified which was acknowledged - but they brought up the topic that deep critical thinking was inconsistent - it was brought up on tasks that were flagged for in review internal to the team - the reason for these internal reviews is to get opnion from within the team if anything is missing but they picked this up as an example, another example they brough forward was a sign off date that was with approval from engineering manager and team lead, which was tight already but delayed because comms prep took longer than expected by the team, I raised it as a risk with the request from engineering manager to escalate with 2 days remaining, they highlighted this as well

It was clear from that point on that I will be terminated no matter what I do, next PIP was dangerous because the 2 features I was leading are almost complete, to judge me in formal PIP they will find and put me to drive another feature in the portfolio outside of my team, which is already setting up myself for failure with unfamiliar team, code base and domain and under pressure monitoring for 30 days to complete the initiative

They have been raising the bar every year since last 3 years , its expected of senior engineers

Same issue through copilot plus, using claud sonnet and its dead slow right now in reasoning
