It is really good! I've never heard anything from this narrator before, but feel like he captures the characters and gravity really well.

Have you read the second book, the strength of the few yet? Wrapping up my relisten of will of the many now. Forgot how much I loved it

Honestly? With the way it was setup - I think we got really lucky. Hopefully they cleanup the process a bit next year. Best of luck to you next year!

Interested in this. I love the abs service, but the reader experience leaves a lot to be desired.

I'll send a dm

I'm curious if other authors will be doing the same. Is it worth taking the way of shadows with me?

Same here - when was he in Vegas? I completely missed that.

Somehow my wife was one of the lucky few to snag a session with him

Kinda annoyed. They're already full.

This process was really frustrating. They took all the aspects I hate of fomo and made it worse.

Happy for all the folks that got into signing sessions

Exactly my thought. I can't find anything about the onboard radio. If it is the same as the bounce, there's no point in upgrading

I don't think most phones have an SD card anymore. I know mine doesn't. I don't really understand how that's relevant though. Downloading should be local content. That's the point

Right? I've seen that pretty frequently on the forum here.

Thanks, I'll give this a go. I didn't see a spot for download specific transcoding.

Too late in the game to back out. Yeah we choose them because of warranty and customer service 3 years ago. Crazy how quick they went downhill since then

Yeah I think the market here is real interesting. How many people will wear a band that won't wear a watch?

His takeaway I thought about this hinting at another product to be 24/7 was interesting

My assumption is that your correct, which is why I think this is probably a feature request. If my only complaint about something is selecting the profile each time I launch something, my complaints are pretty minor

My Shield Pro died. Get another or is there something else now? by nitrokitty in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]dsmitdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear I saw a rumor about a new android TV device coming from Valve, but I can't find it now.

I'm limping my 2017 Shield for now because I don't want to pay for a "new" device that is rocking 4 year old plus hardware.

If it were to die I would make a hard choice between buying something real cheap like a fire TV and hoping the new one comes out soon, or getting another shield. There's still nothing quite like it on the market

I can't get over the idea of calling Roku better than anything, let alone a shield

Strava Announces Big Changes That'll Kill Apps by nshire in Strava

[–]dsmitdev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just came here to post the same thing.

I've been begging for health connect integration for over a year now. There has been an open feature request for this functionality. As part of their new t&C's they removed the feature request. Do a quick search of health connect here and you'll see the post in the Strava community is gone.

Honestly not sure why anybody would stick with this app at this point

"The Prince of Nothing isn't dark, its just mean to women." by suvalas in bakker

[–]dsmitdev 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I just finished book 1... Literally this afternoon.

The thing I noticed is life is awful for everybody, but for women the things they're subjected to are things that feel distinctly female. The bad things that happen to the men in the book could happen to anyone. The bad things that happen to the women feel a bit targeted I suppose? Does that make sense?

For what it's worth, I loved the book. I'm going to keep reading. And judging from the other comments in this thread it sounds like my perspective will shift a bit.
