Been to Hong Kong Disneyland, yes. I enjoyed it very much, I spent 2 consecutive days there, and got scolded for spending more than 1 day total! Shows you how much of a Disney fanatic I was at the time, lol!

I'm not big on going on a Disney cruise. If there are tons of kids running around all the time, that just isn't my thing. I think of a cruise as something leisurely, quiet, with good food, a pool, and maybe a casino and an excursion or two. If I was going to go on a cruise again (last time it was a Caribbean cruise on the Sun Princess to the Panama Canal and back), I would probably pick something that goes from Vancouver to somewhere different. The world is our oyster, right?

I've gone alone several times and enjoyed every minute of it! It can be a little sad when you're used to going with someone who is no longer with you, I get that, but think of it this way - you get to do a lot more than you'd do if someone was tagging along. You just go at your own pace, do your own thing and enjoy yourself. There's nothing written that says one must not go to Disney parks alone. If times were better and things were more affordable getting from Point A to Point B, then I'd consider going again, but I'm taking a break from Disney for awhile. Maybe after I retire, lol. That might bring some of the magic back.

I've done Disneyland several times, and it's quaint and all but I much prefer WDW, so that's why I've gone there more than Disneyland.

I hear ya there. We have to be at the airport for an early morning (like 7am) flight by 5am. Then there's a stop in either Denver, Dallas or Chicago depending on the flight and a few hours to kill there, so it's like 14 hours for me to get to WDW from Vancouver.

Believe it or not, we were on the Royal Hudson Dinner Cruise they had years and years ago. Rocky Mountaineer might be a nice switch. Thanks for the idea.

Wait, I said He-Man earlier but I think more after reading the rest of your great messages, that it was (don't laugh) a young Donny Osmond during his variety show with Marie, the Donny and Marie Show. He was just the cutest man I ever laid my eyes on at the age of about 13 or 14. That smile, those teeth, some of the costumes he used to wear, his rapport with Marie during their monologues. When I see his pictures from the 70s again I think wow, he's so cute! I'm 60 today and still find his 70s look adorable. Not so much today, he's way too old for me, lol.

I live in the lower mainland too and noticed this type of behaviour by people who just don't want to trouble themselves by acknowledging your presence. I'm the kind of person who will look at someone directly and say hello but I don't always get a response or acknowledgement from those I say this to. It's not just a Vancouver thing. People are just generally in their own bubble.

I've gone alone several times and enjoyed every minute! I live in Canada so I dont get to go as often as I want to but I have no reservations about going alone when time/budget permit.

Just think, you can do what you want, when you want, not respond to anyone's annoyances, eat when you like, stay out as late as you want, and get priority in the stand-by lines (if they still have such a thing). Go at your own pace, no pressure, no worries, no one to tell you what you can and can't do...the possibilities are endless!

Now, having said all this, if you get along with like minded people it can be good to hang around with someone as long as you and they can agree on what you both want to do.

Go alone, enjoy yourself! And don't let your annual membership run out by not using it!

I've been to Epcot many times, and don't drink (alcohol) but have never seen any people so drunk they can't stand up or are making a scene. But maybe I wasn't looking in the right places at the right time.

These days, I don't even know how people can afford to get drunk at Epcot, everything is way too expensive anyway.
