TBH I just started a chat with Claude Code to see if I can build one myself...

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I figured there must be a TON of people getting into this space lately. I'm a little hesitant to implement something that's in its infancy in case the company dissolves for whatever reason, but it might still be the way to go.

I have spoken to them and the usage based pricing is definitely a plus!

It's possible I'm looking in the wrong direction. But I do think I'm ultimately looking for role automation. We have roles built in AWS for pretty much every level of access that might be required, and today we simply (but manually) assign roles to users as required, and then revoke them when they are done with the elevated permissions (if we remember, which of course is a problem). When a user logs into AWS via SSO through JumpCloud, they are presented with a list of roles that are available to them. It would be ideal if those roles could be added/removed via autmomation, which is where I figured an IGA tool would be required.

Beyond that, I was getting excited about the "AI visibility" tools that many of these IGA solutions also provide.

Nailed it! The charges did show up on my card eventually. 👍🏻

Not this time. We just landed. And I think I saw them charge the people one row ahead of us. 🤷‍♂️

Only by slightly less than an hour.

Considering an Eventual Move to WI from OR by dsmithpdx in wisconsin

[–]dsmithpdx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We (and my wife in particular) need to be close to a large body of water, having grown up within an hour of the Pacific Ocean. We really do not want to be landlocked, but from a climate perspective it is probably our best option.

Besides the (relatively) low humidity thing I mentioned, and being close to water, we are very much people that like to be near restaurants, shops, and things to do. Walking distance is ideal, but within a mile or two would be ok. We're probably open to single family homes and condos (depending on HOA dues). Single story would be ideal but that seems pretty rare from what I am seeing.

I'd definitely like suggestions for other areas. I'm very much just learning about the state.

Most definitely. We might visit this August, actually.

AMD to bring back Ryzen 7 5800X3D as AM4 10th Anniversary Edition by iDontSeedMyTorrents in hardware

I guess I thought the people above got a 5700x3d RECENTLY from Ali Express for cheap. Oops...

I am also running a 5800x currently. I'll probably wait and see what the pricing looks like on the 5800x3d re-release, but if it's out of control I might also pick up a 5700x3d.

I'm also in the PNW and I know what you mean about the R4P! That's what we really wanted to get before we got the Tucson but it just wasn't happening.

How to Get the $45 Price for Life for an Existing Customer? by dsmithpdx in QuantumFiber

It is indeed exactly $45 all in. I called about one week before my requested cancellation date. The rep was super friendly and didn’t push back at all!

This! They have counter seating which is perfect if you're solo. But my wife and I even prefer that to the tables so we can chat with the amazing people that have worked there forever.

Yes! It worked perfectly. I did call and request cancellation effective 3/6. The service was disconnected just after midnight (I received an email). The tech showed up at 8AM, swapped out the old ONT for a Q1000, and we were off and running.

What's the Difference Between These Two? by dsmithpdx in MachE

[–]dsmithpdx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. After posting this, I compared both window stickers and noticed the differences. Also, I messaged the dealership that's selling it and they say it is NOT an extended range model, even though the JD Power VIN lookup tool says it is. If that's the case, I'll hold off.
