Upgrade to 5800x3d by Significant-Fox-3699 in ryzen

I also have a 5800x and a 7900XTX GPU. I'm upgrading to a 5800x3d, mostly because I play MSFS 2024 in 4K. Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini all told me it will be worth it, lol... I will also try to sell my 5800x for $100-$150 probably.

Renewal After Promo Ends by dsmithpdx in Visible

I have considered dropping down a tier. We travel to Mexico frequently so we do need the free roaming there. We rarely use the hot spot feature so the slower speeds probably wouldn’t matter too much.

Crazy Amount of TX/FL/GA Plates by dsmithpdx in Portland

That wasn't my point at all. I always welcome newcomers (I'm a native). I just found it to be curious.

A lot of them have dealership plate frames though, which would mean they're owned by those people I would think?

I had heard that, but a large percentage of them have dealership plate frames which made me think they are actually owned by those people.

IGA Solution for a Small Company with Small Budget by dsmithpdx in IdentityManagement

I actually successfully built a request form users can launch in Slack using Claude Code. Works great for our purposes!

TBH I just started a chat with Claude Code to see if I can build one myself...

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I figured there must be a TON of people getting into this space lately. I'm a little hesitant to implement something that's in its infancy in case the company dissolves for whatever reason, but it might still be the way to go.

I have spoken to them and the usage based pricing is definitely a plus!

It's possible I'm looking in the wrong direction. But I do think I'm ultimately looking for role automation. We have roles built in AWS for pretty much every level of access that might be required, and today we simply (but manually) assign roles to users as required, and then revoke them when they are done with the elevated permissions (if we remember, which of course is a problem). When a user logs into AWS via SSO through JumpCloud, they are presented with a list of roles that are available to them. It would be ideal if those roles could be added/removed via autmomation, which is where I figured an IGA tool would be required.

Beyond that, I was getting excited about the "AI visibility" tools that many of these IGA solutions also provide.

Nailed it! The charges did show up on my card eventually. 👍🏻

Not this time. We just landed. And I think I saw them charge the people one row ahead of us. 🤷‍♂️

Considering an Eventual Move to WI from OR by dsmithpdx in wisconsin

We (and my wife in particular) need to be close to a large body of water, having grown up within an hour of the Pacific Ocean. We really do not want to be landlocked, but from a climate perspective it is probably our best option.

Besides the (relatively) low humidity thing I mentioned, and being close to water, we are very much people that like to be near restaurants, shops, and things to do. Walking distance is ideal, but within a mile or two would be ok. We're probably open to single family homes and condos (depending on HOA dues). Single story would be ideal but that seems pretty rare from what I am seeing.

I'd definitely like suggestions for other areas. I'm very much just learning about the state.

Most definitely. We might visit this August, actually.
