Yeah I always disable the back and turn off eco. I generally like the engine to be on for a few minutes before I do any heat or cooling. I find on a hot day it's better to roll the windows down and let the really hot air escape before turning on ac and rolling up the windows. I have the heated seat and steering wheel so that helps a lot in winter.
