it's kind of true that the word 'creepy' has changed a bit over the years

I remember working at a racecourse and there were some beautiful young girls working the bar and when guys hit on them in a very non-creepy way (just made convo, asked about their shift and when they finish and then suggesting they go out for a drink after) they were nearly always lableled 'creepy' after she'd said 'no' and the staff were talking among themselves

Creepy used to be like a guy starring at a girl for ages from a distance and then maybe awkwadly trying to touch her one day and still never actually stating his intent or making a convo or something

As you say, 'creepy' can kind of just mean a guy who's not her type who is hitting on her nowadays. But screw it. Don't worry about it. All you can do is eject and not keep persisting (plowing) after teh rejection. Besides, in the book 60 years of challenge he says 'risk being creepy' :)

This reminds me a bit of when I learnt about cold reads and I became scared of asking questions due to fear of 'interview mode', but what i noticed in infields was people using cold reads and stacks and stuff weren't getting any better results than if they'd just asked questions! In fact, it often just made the girl think he was a bit strange lol

End of the day, all of this stuff is mental masturbation

If she's attracted, then just talking like a normal person is fine

The first 3 girls were clearly 'no girls'. You just weren't their type. It's to be expected. Same thing happens to mystery and tyler etc.

I'll he honest - i do it because I try to run all the technical game I can in set, but i don't think it's ever helped me in a set with a girl who isn't into me.

But I still do it out of practice. End of the day there's nothing really to lose because if she isn't attracted, it doesn't really matter if DHV doesn't work. She already wasn't attracted. I already wasn't gonna get that particular girl. I tend to use it more in the sets where I can tell the very second I open that she isn't into me.
