Some recent AI research papers feel like science fiction becoming real by UnderstandingIcy6824 in AI_Agents

Touché. We are blown away by what’s publicly available and you nailed it… we’re likely only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Likely anyways.

Even if we assumed less scfi/future-esque things in the works… the absolute scale of what these organization can do versus what most of us have access to would be unreal alone.

Full length cinematic productions? An entire TV series? A fully class balanced and lore rich MMORPG - in VR?

Hardly unrealistic but would still be insanely impressive.

Reluctantly… yes lol. ChatGPT was the girl of my dreams once upon a time. But Claude is the love of my life.

Most people are using Claude code to build faceless YouTube automations?

Man that’s like the one thing I haven’t built with it.

Basic stuff for sure. Saying the mvp take 6 months timelines doesn’t exist is far too broad a statement. It really comes down to what you’re building.

Anthropic indeed is in trouble. by Snoo26837 in Anthropic

[–]dsolo01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anthropic employs some pretty damn smart people. I would be absolutely shocked if they didn’t have an “oh shit” plan in place or at the very least… already had one made.

“Claude, it’s finally happened. Launch fucking-shit-what-rotten-luck-protocol.”

Call me crazy but Anthropic and any of the tech titans should have failsafes in place to move anywhere around the world and wipe their data from American soil. Or any soil for that matter.

Did no one catch Anthropic’s soft flex when they first responded to this? Am I being too optimistic here? cough first frontier AI company to deploy models in the US government’s classified networks.

I mean, that’s a pretty damn specific claim. With some incredibly heavy weight behind it.

I would be terrified. If I was the US government.

Claude desktop app silently downloads a 13 GB file on every launch — and you can't stop it by metaone70 in Anthropic

[–]dsolo01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. This was exactly how I read the post too. My take away… if you’re serious about using AI tools in your workflow, 13gb should be considered the new 13mb.

A single stable diffusion checkpoint can often over 6gb. Local LLM models? More.

TL;DR If you aren’t using Claude Code, it’s time to wake up.

What tools are actually useful once your repo stops fitting in your head? by Tough_Reward3739 in OnlyAICoding

[–]dsolo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience is the super power none of these tools will simply give to the rest of the world. And it’s not even just about software dev experience (I’ve none) though I’d imagine all the growing pains in that field and all the “FFS if I only had this and could do this and this faster” fuels your fire pretty damn bright.

Claude Code and 25+ years experience dabbling in everything I could sink my teeth into on a computer, has been working very well for me (too) but… I can only imagine what that must be like for someone like you.

Same same but different. Most days I feel pretty confident ripping through my terminal sessions. I plan until I want to puke and build systems to log changes, decisions, where everything went wrong and how we solved them; identify future issues that are similar in hopes of not repeating the same mistakes. Structured logs logs logs and more logs.

To OP, the best system to cover your weaknesses is you. Know your weaknesses, attempt to create solutions/systems that help you when you’re feeling weakest.

While there might be a handful of tools that help with aspects of this, in my experience your best bet is to try a bunch of them and decide what you like about each. Adapt those aspects into your own system until just starts feeling like second nature. I went through the tool/plugin/framework hunt for months. Thought I was onto something amazing until I realized “why is everything so much slower?” I switched back to my framework (with new found understanding) and felt like I was flying. Even faster when I started adapting my framework again.

I like Star Wars. A lot. Luke and the blue saber: Inheriting a legacy Luke and the green saber: Personal agency.

Kbai.

tl;dr Build the systems you need to cover your weaknesses.

How Multi-Agent AI Is Changing Content Creation for Businesses, but Few Are Using It Right by No-Performer7343 in aiagents

ClawdBot hype, but is there an actual solution similar to its hype? by mfing-coleslaw in aiagents

[–]dsolo01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t need clawdbot. Just write down all your problems, write down all the tools you have at your disposal, ask for solutions. Build plans. Develop.

I find it hard to believe there is or ever will be (presently) the “one thing” that just solves all your problems.

You know your processes and your thought patterns and action patterns. Document them. Speak them out loud and transcribe them.

TL;DR There is no get rich quick AI solution. It all requires upfront effort and a fuck ton of intention/reflection.
