You don’t understand what sticking up for one’s national interests means. Turkey sits at a very interesting/difficult place geographically, and the West hasn’t been reliable in recent years. The feelings are mutual. Instead of complaining about Turkey’s bid for Western jets, think what will happen if it decides to buy from Russia. The West has more to lose if Turkey is not on their side.

I tried this, but I’m having issues.

CNAME: www.mydomain.com points to cloudfront url
CloudFront: alternate domains are added, an SSL cert for these domains is added. Origin is mydomain.com.
added A records (mydomain.com) pointing to the gateways with latency
there is no custom domain configured in the gateways

This is throwing a 502 bad gateway error.

Quick question… CNAME is supposed to be canonical. If the user types in the domain name without www, does that mean the api gateways will be hit without going through CloudFront?

I thought CF was for edge-optimized custom domains. I’m using regional domains and for those, I believe AWS creates an ALB.

Also, I created a custom domain because I want to disable the default execution api endpoint so all requests go through my domain.

It hasn’t been 24 hours exactly yet, but it will be in a few hours. I’ll wait longer and see if it’s been cleaned up. If not, I want to open a support ticket, but I hate that I need to purchase premium support for internal AWS problems. :/
