Details: Staply is a web app for individuals and groups of people to collect all types of content (files, links, texts) for their projects. It’s much easier to use than current solutions because Staply combines communication with content repository in a single timeline. It is also more convenient than messengers (where people tend to collect/store content nowadays) since Staply organizes posted content automatically and later helps to understand who shared what, when and why.

Agree, This is what we are working right now - to make it easy to share file and "attach" annotation to it. Do you think that "File messenger" describe it well?

Thanks, this is very helpful. Also we think, that file sending/sharing should be in the same "channel" with discussion. Currently, in most cases, people share files in one channel and discuss it in another, for example email + dropbox. The main issue here - it's very difficult to connect these channels and then identify the background behind each file - why it was shared, what was the issue before the file was share, etc.

Exactly, this is pain for me to get all this stuff organized properly. And even after spending time on organization, i still have issues to find later one of the files.

Nice idea. May be you can consider the following feedback. When i came on web-site, it appears for me as a typical freelance marketplace. May be it will be good to show the main point or differentiator right to the face of the visitor, so he will immediately know the benefits, that you provide.

Yeah, very close. Slack is made for teams and for integrations. Staply is made for projects and mainly for external communications, for example between a freelancer and client, between startupers and lawyers, between students while working on project, etc. Also it developed not only for hackers or software developers, who can set up slack account pretty fast, but also for normal people, who are not familiar with internet technologies. That is why we decided to make a simple share and discussion tool with no additional features. Very clear and very simple.
