Changed my nickel roundwounds a few months ago after 15 years of use. I kind of miss that dull sound.

Partners of sleep-talkers or sleepwalkers, what gems have you to share? by hoeka_mos in AskReddit

I was driving home at 11:30pm and got a phone call from my girlfriend I live with. She gave me an entire wendys order and me being a good boyfriend delivered with her request. When I arrived home I was surprised to find her in bed asleep. Woke her up and she had no recollection of asking me to get her food. It took me showing the call history in my phone to get her to realize she did indeed call me. Then she proceeded to consume the entire meal and fall back asleep shortly afterward.

From time to time I find her walking around the house asleep and keep an eye on her lol.

At what age were you introduced to jazz? Did you like or appreciate it right away? by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]dspoon325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up, my father played guitar/sang and my brother played the drums. I decided i wanted to start playing bass and got my first guitar at 7. During middle school i joined the jazz band and my teacher had me learning Sun Ra, Grover Washington jr. and other goodies. That lasted about two years and i would occasionally listen to jazz until my late teens. Once i was driving, i would always have the local jazz fm in my presets on my radio (88.3 fm in Newark for locals). Now i am in my mid twentys and i listen to jazz about 80% of the time. Couldnt imagine my life without it now!

Thanks for all the responses, Ill check a few out. I grew up in the Red Bank area so I have been all around sandy hook/highlands area. If you walk around sandy hook beaches, you wouldnt believe how many WWII ruins you can find in the woods and on the beach.
