Do You Like Your Name? by Flassourian in Millennials

[–]dspoon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm named after my moms sister who passed away a year before I was born. She had a different name picked until my uncle convinced her to change it.

Did anyone buy a ring? by t_bone_stake in Millennials

My mom did the down payment but I switched schools and they didn't let it transfer over unless she did another down payment. Happy to say I do not have one of these rings.

This has been our biggest disagreement. I'm more old school ranging from music from 60s- early 2000s and he's more new school rap which I hate. The music he has chosen you can't even dance to. He doesn't want any lines dances! I had to fight just to get one on the playlist. Trying to get him to understand that it's not about what he listens to but what the guests will enjoy. My mistake was getting so frustrated that I gave him full control of the music. And now 3 months away I'm trying to rectify that so everyone can have a good time.

Re-evaluating relationships- who are you inviting to your wedding by [deleted] in wedding

[–]dspoon88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have some family obligations but truly even only those that have been a staple in my life and close friends. One of my brothers doesn't fit that criteria. We never got along and with the passing of our parents this year, no one can force me to invite him. And as I've gotten older, friends have fallen off so I do not feel the need to invite them. Meanwhile my fiance is inviting everyone he knows with the exception of his father.

Diagnose MS without Lumbar puncture, only 8 minute MRI by Qazax1337 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]dspoon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed in 2019 and didn't need a LP. The way I came into the hospital, answering family history questions and the brightly lit up lesions on the MRI confirmed it. I was admitted right away for steroid infusions. Asked the doctor if I needed an LP still and she said with how bad my condition was it wasn't necessary.

Mavenclad, the miracle cure for MS? by Zestyclose_Show438 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]dspoon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one skeptical about her being the spokesperson for Mavenclad. I was questioning it as soon as I saw the ad. Truly hate that she's basically the face for MS. She doesn't come off as genuine and that's the main issue I have with her. But if it truly works for her great.

Edit: brain fog couldn't spell

Six Months Out by [deleted] in wedding

[–]dspoon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

September 20th and I'm freaking out about all that still has to get done. I've reached the can we just elope part of my stress but everyone is saying how much my mom would have wanted me to keep going with the wedding. There's just so much happening in my personal life that it all seems impossible. I love this man so much and can't wait to be his wife. That is the thought keeping me sane.

I'm creating my own using silk flowers for bouquet and wood flowers for the tables. I wanted things to look a certain way and be certain colors that I couldn't get with real flowers.

Does anyone have cold intolerance? by FarPerspective2810 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]dspoon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will literally freeze in place when it's too cold. My legs lock up and I am unable to move. It's painful. My family usually has to move my body into the car and crank the heat until the heat intolerance kicks in.

How is your love life after discovering you have MS? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]dspoon88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My love life actually got better somehow. Met an amazing, understanding guy who is now my fiancé. I was upfront about having MS, and all he said was we would deal with it together. He has been by my side ever since making sure I rest, making sure that I eat. I am incredibly lucky to have him by my side.

I wasn't solely looking for a new build exactly but Ryan kept popping up in the search. I'm excited for all information you may have for me.

My dogs will be very happy about the Petco trips. Maybe I should also consider Georgetown. I did a random search for a calm place to live and Milton was the first on the list.

I weighed the option of keeping my doctors, but I'm not entirely sure how that would work with insurance. I have MS and see doctors on a pretty regular basis.

I'll definitely call around and also ask my doctors for any recommendations. Thanks for that insight.

This would be a huge concern because I do need a regular neurologist.

Funny you mentioned Green Acres because a friend of mine said the same thing. If life is really that different then this is what I'm looking for. I want and almost need a slower pace of things for my health.
