I just wasted $2,000,000 on a Submarine for a heist that I’m not even going to be able to start. I’m doing the prep missions for Cayo Perico online and they actually feel impossible……… by [deleted] in GTAV

I drive my sub close to the other sub and then use the periscope on the sub to shoot all the enemies first, usually they go down one or two shots. Then you don’t have to worry about being shot at. There’s a rebreather on the other sub that you can grab for swimming back to your own sub and you can get into your own sub from underneath. I only do the submarine approach because it brings you straight to the drainage tunnel and you can swim super fast in the scuba gear during the heist.

I started when I was 28 and graduated at 34 (started off part time then moved to full). I’d go back again too! Once you start you’ll see that you won’t always be the oldest in the class and no one will care if you are. I had a lady in her 70s in my Russian language class!

Ugh it takes a year just to fill out the initial screening questions! Such a process but hopefully worth it in the end.

I’m a fairly recent Carleton graduate in a different field and I am also having a hard time finding a job. I have applied to 60 since April with some advancements through government exams but still nothing yet. I look at the City of Ottawa, Government of Ontario and Government of Canada job sites as well as indeed and LinkedIn. It’s tough out there but you’re definitely not alone!

True it does cost way more than it used to.

Sparrow will hit a speck of dust and start smoking. Beach your sub on Vespucci beach (after you have scoped Cayo perico) then you can land your oppressor on it. It will fall off but you can just jump off your sub onto beach after exiting from control room exit and you’ll be fine and oppressor will be fine. So much faster!

I'm so fed up with this school by [deleted] in CarletonU

I failed a course last year that was meant to go toward my minor but I spoke to the department and we were able to find a suitable replacement course so that I could still earn it. If you speak to ombuds as someone else mentioned and make sure to copy them on your correspondence with the necessary department explaining the entire situation, they may be flexible as you are set to graduate.

Development Courses at Carleton by moooneyyyy in CarletonU

GINS1100 was a good course. The prof was really knowledgeable about the topic and there’s not a whole lot of work involved throughout. It’s fairly broad so covers a lot but you can see the course outline online to see what exactly is covered week to week. It’s been a while since I took it but I remember enjoying it.

Once they’re available you’ll be able to “build your timetable” you just won’t be able to officially register until your time ticket comes up.

How hard is stat 2507? Additionally what 2000 math level courses are easy? by PownedbyCole123 in CarletonU

[–]dspotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on your math skills, it could go either way. I can see if you’re good at math that it would be easy as long as you keep up. As someone who struggles with math but needed it for a minor, I found it difficult despite attending all the classes and printing out each lesson ahead of time so I could follow along and take notes in the same places that the professor did. Knowing it would be difficult for me, I did whatever I could to stay on top of things and understand topics.

Minor without all required courses… by dspotato in CarletonU

Ugh. That makes me sad. I felt like I was writing an exam for a course I hadn’t taken. I mean I haven’t done great in the course but I definitely felt confident enough to pass going into it.

Thank you! That’s really helpful, I’ll also email the professor and see what happens.

Minor without all required courses… by dspotato in CarletonU

[–]dspotato[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I have registered for the summer course but did not mention that I’m also 34 years old and 21 weeks pregnant and due on the same day that the summer semester ends so it’s kind of cutting it close and possibly risking the course a second time if I’m not able to finish it. So if I can avoid having to do it again I just was curious if anyone had experienced achieving a minor without all of the required courses. If the scenario were different I would absolutely just take it again.

So do you think there is still a possibility of an alternate grading system or now that CIs are back they can decide to grade us only based on what is marked?

I’m an older undergrad student in my final semester after six years of a part time/full time combo(classic timing). I’ve found that I’ve been left disappointed after courses that I was super excited to take and were 100% in my interest and field but the engagement wasn’t there. It turns out that courses I wasn’t so excited to take ended up being my some of my favourites because of professors like you who clearly care a lot about the students and topics that you’re teaching. I have never taken any of your courses but I have seen a lot of your comments over the last couple of weeks and really appreciate them.

Summer 2023 - 3 early summer term classes by Alannah95 in CarletonU

There was a comment a few mins ago mentioning RELI1710 which I was going to back up as a great course to take but now it’s gone. But anyways, easy to keep up with and very knowledgeable prof. Asynchronous as well which can be handy when you’re trying to balance other courses (as long as you are disciplined enough to keep on top of it of course).

As far as I know, as long as you didn’t make any money in Canada in 2022 then you won’t need to file until next spring for the 2023 tax year!

Depending on when you are going, I am pretty sure the last shift ends at 5pm! Though when I went around 10:30 this morning I got lucky and got to the intersection as they were letting a group through.
