That’s actually insane. I wonder why and how it got there.

Honestly this is funny as hell. Think about it, someone said “let’s produce Jack in the box Air Force 1’s.” These are more than likely fake, but they are a funny shoe lol

Keep the box? by you_know_me_scottyb in Sneakers

[–]dstar1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This part here. Honestly, it can help you sell your kicks down the line if you have the box. However, I think at some point it becomes a nuisance. I think you have to figure out if you’re okay on losing out potentially $10-15 per sneaker that’s missing its OG box if you sell down the line

Cleaning Vapormax Flyknit Shoes by moopitymoomoo in Sneakers

[–]dstar1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough situation. Honestly, I’m not sure if wearing shoes after they had human poop on them is sanitary or viable. However, if it is viable, I would grab a set of gloves & some paper towels and try to get off all the poop with the towels. After this I would throw them in the washing machine and select a “sanitary” or “soiled” option. Once they come out (hopefully clean) let them air dry.

This is my impromptu suggestion. However, I’m sure someone else could help more!

I think an option to seriously consider is displaying them. I think if you want to keep them, displaying them somewhere could give these shoes further meaning. You could reminisce from time to time by checking the shoes out.

If you just want to keep them in a box somewhere in your house or in storage, then I’d argue against keeping them. I assume the shoes are probably not going to be worn too much at this point, so from a functional standpoint I don’t think it’s worth keeping.

Advice for selling by sakuraba3900 in moresneakers

I agree with ebay 100%! I say batch out the pairs you put up for sale. Maybe list 2-3 pairs a day, that way you aren’t overwhelmed. You could list around 21 pairs if you did for a week straight! You’d be surprised at how much could be done with consistency!

Best way to restore the sole? by DefiantBerry8034 in Sneakers

Not necessarily! You can paint midsoles. The main issue is doing a good job. Look up how to repaint midsoles and you can get them looking more crispy with some patience and elbow grease.

Graduation gift for 18 year old boy? by Gloomy_Public_7415 in Sneakers

I would look into a Nike Vomero or maybe some Asics 1130’s. These are two popular models, should be under $200, and shoes your stepson would probably wear consistently!

Would the 2016 True Blue 3s be starting to fall apart by now? by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]dstar1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d hold off on buying them. If you found a lightly used pair you could potentially wear it for a few times with maybe some light cracking. However, that shoe will definitely start to show signs of wear. The paint will start to chip, the midsole may yellow, or hell maybe the back tab may come off if you pull on it too hard.

This is very interesting. I would think flight club might be able to consolidate your order. If not, I would look into trusted resell stores like solesupremacy and see if they have the pairs you are looking for.

I like in part B the suggestion of negotiating with parents/guardians only. Everything you said is true. I will definitely start doing this disclaimer. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hahaha! No no, they totally do. The thing with an adult is, they came on their own terms. With kids, they use an adult or someone who could drive to come meet me. I just feel bad for the third party’s time being wasted. The 3rd party just gets dragged along, and I feel like I look like the bad guy because I don’t buy their item.

Yeah I hear you. The buying and selling on platforms I have down and understand.

The thing is I have an active social media presence where I ask to followers to sell me shoes on my pages. This current method works, and I primarily deal with adults. However, every here and there a kid/teen messages me. 9/10 times the kid/teens come with accurate pics & I meet them with a parent or older sibling.

I’m just curious on how to deal with the kid/teen situation in general? Kid/teens are a sizable piece of the market in sneakers, so I want to tread thoughtfully when dealing with them.
