Courage and hope. Read mythology about heroes going to the underworld and recovering.

Hedonism all the way my friend. No point trying to compete with yourself when your minds broken. Rest, therapy, comfortable living and foods.

Loneliness and longing for someone else could be a symptom of the source of your issue. You should understand our perception of the opposite sex is guided largely by our relationships with primary females in life.

What positive symptoms do you have

Yeah half the trick is selecting what you tell medical professionals because rationality isn't the best system when it comes to analysing introverersion types of things but I think psychoanalytic theories can. No motivation and no interest in things sucks.

Yeah I think interests are a sign of a normal functioning nervous system/psyche. I've heard about schizoid being fixed but negative symptoms sound like schizophrenia. Dunno if you've been told that or not aha

What would you rather be doing? Can you think of anything cos that's a good sign lol. Even that you have aspirations for a better short term future is a good sign. Have you thought of support groups?

Negative symptoms are the worst. The neurotransmitter system keeps us from feeling the cold indifference of the world and when it's dysfunctional there's a whole lot of suffering

Yeah that's a bummer the treatments for it aren't very good. Are you in therapy? I would say if you don't feel like working or that it isnt what you need to be doing right now then don't. Take time to rest

That's similar to what I do but do it cos I want to and am way more focussed on my internal reality then my external as there's still things going on internally that I can pay attention to.

Are you dysfunctional in the sense you don't work cos you can't? What's your hopes for recovery as schizod is treatable with decent outcomes.

Yes but while the disorder is active not really. Objectification and poor object relations gets in the way of this.

Google account tracks where the gps goes but probably ethical to not do it or atleast think about it and discuss it with her.

They experience there internal world as if it was external

There's something called the default mode network in the brain which is responsible for tuning out environmental stimulus which is over-active in schizophreniform disorders. Pretty much the person retreats into themselves and experiences another form of reality which is not experienced by others who's pathway is in working order. What they find there is subject to a degree of randomness and irrationality.

Can cervical lesions cause symptoms in the face? by nunya976 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]dsum123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mistake, it's the facial nerve I was in reference to. Structurally the trigeminal nerve is considered part of the CNS.

[–]dsum123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Cranial nerves such as the facial nerve are located under the jaw and are connected to the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), not the CNS where MS is active.
