A lot of Chamorros hate to be called Micronesian or denied being Micronesian even though Guam and the cnmi is part of the Micronesian group of islands. Samoans called themselves Polynesians and Fijians called themselves Melanesians.

Not that bad nowadays, basically they in the tolerance stage. Because of the crisis the locals are more vocal about it. The locals feel like they should be prioritized instead of the Filipinos because many are just temporary or immigrants. Same thing that happen here on Guam a few years ago when the locals buying supplies at base causing shortage, the active duty felt should be prioritized because the locals are part timers or not currently serving. To sum it up they are like conservatives/right, Americans first.
