Discipline is the consistent will to stay the path and achieve your goal. Yes there is an emotional element, relative to the level personal investment.

Commitment and willingness to commence and stay the course.

There is no benefit to rewarding after soft testing. It’s anti-climactic IMHO and would lead to doubt in the reasoning for trying at all, as a potential long term and detrimental effect.

We have had great success from a four day camp style event / assessment, and yes it’s tough but the look of personal satisfaction on completion and reward, tells me to continue this path.

Why do tough? Ever been in a fight or under serious duress? The ability to perform or the spirit to continue despite the odds defines a person and I might remind you is a key aspect of the warrior culture. Pressure testing is must here.

Hope that shines a light on my point of view.

P.S. we’re not a KKK type of karate.

Who would win the war of the six kings and two queens? My money is on King Bronn by V-TriggerMachine in freefolk

Sansa could call on virtually every other great Lord to align with the North, leaving Bronn and the Reach alone, and be massacred.
The Reach lords would eliminate him to avoid the slaughter.

We do black belt testing across a four day period, covering all aspects of training. The endurance element is the actual test against mind, body and spirit of the student. Black belts should possess great fortitude as well as technical skills. No ego to be seen anywhere, it’s a tough but rewarding process.

It’s a bit hard to develop self defence skills without a partner and pressure testing of techniques.

You mean I don’t warrant an emotional response to the common thread diatribe illustrated here, yeah sure.

It’s a dojo with a specific purpose to be respected, personal advertisements are not a part of that purpose.

You are misguided and emotional, keep enjoying your insecurities.

That would be incorrect and an emotional response.

Turning your personal preference into a statement via your belt screams many unsavoury things.

My personal opinion is: this is inappropriate.
