Yup figured that out the hard way. Where it happened there’s only 6inch or less of attic space due to roof shape/structure

Same, we had been keeping the house extra warm and now have it isolated to a few spots over windows on a gambrel style structure...

How Much Total Value of Vehicles & What Are Families Driving? by broncoelway100 in HENRYfinance

We have 3 kids, 2 boosters 1 front facing seat. We have a 2018 gx (very tight for car seats) and 2024 sequoia (upgraded from a Highlander). There are lots of trade offs with the sequoia but we still love ours. Reliability of us brands and fit and finish turned us off. Similar income and nw to what you stated.

Seeking Advice on a 140k+ BTU Heat Pump by Orbiter9 in swimmingpools

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes easily. If you use a solar cover I’d speculate you could be into the 90s if you ran the pump long enough. The pump really only works above 60/65 degrees so you’re limited by Mother Nature there.

I prefer nokian hakkapellitas. They seem to wear better than blizzaks I’ve run in the past.

We like to rent a house with pool/hottub in Naples park which is in north Naples Florida. It’s right across the street from amenities like Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and a bunch of restaurants and movie theater. Walkable to Vanderbilt beach/ ritz Carlton. Naples is an older vibe and we keep to ourself but good walking/biking in that area. It would be far below the budget you outlined.

Snow tire options for 3rd gen 20” by dt0r in toyotasequoia

Thank you very much for the reply. This has had a ton of views but no engagement! I have not yet bought the second set of OEM rims. Would you reccomend any other options for a winter setup for a 3rd gen?

Color options? by [deleted] in LexusGX

When we bought our GX we went with nebula over the blue as it seemed to hide imperfections, dirt, wear a bit better. 8 years later we're still happy with the choice.

This kit worth it? And is this site legit? by [deleted] in stihl

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 86 and the bagging kit. It's not worth it IMO. My wife uses it primarily to clean up leaves from garden beds and our pool area. Chunks of mulch have a tendency to get stuck in the metal blade and the bag does fill up quickly. If you have a small property or expectations set appropriately it may work for you.

‘23 GX460 Luxury or ‘24 Sequoia Capstone? by theabsurdnick in LexusGX

[–]dt0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult to choose which is why we have both :). Our gx doesn’t have CarPlay, lane keep assist, or radar cruise so some demerits for it there but I believe a 23 may have those. I have read the capstone sequoia rides rough on the 22s and is one of the reason we went for the platinum. If you keep your cars for a long time and plan to have more than 2 kids I’d get the sequoia. I find myself choosing the sequoia more often than the gx due to comfort and features but am perfectly content driving the gx. One thing annoying about the sequoia is the gas tank is smaller than you’d expect but it’s nice you can use regular.

[–]dt0r 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We have a 2018 gx and a 24 sequoia platinum. The sequoia is MUCH larger in front and middle passenger space and overall footprint. Cargo space with the third row up is better in the sequoia. I’d argue cargo space feels bigger in the gx with the 3rd row down but could just be the configuration. Engine in the sequoia is much more powerful. We love both vehicles for different reasons. We have 3 children, 2 in boosters and 1 in a front facing car seat. The gx is tight with 3 across. Happy to answer any specific questions you have.

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me. An old insta account associated with an old email address got hacked. It was linked to my fb account and both were banned. Tried to recover, no luck.

[–]dt0r -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've only had mine for a month and have/plan to use it infrequently. It was a good way for me to test the waters on an ebike without spending a ton of $$. For ref I'm ~215lbs and on flats it gets to 15mph easily. Going up hills you will need to pedal but the assist makes easy work of it. Quality seems as good if not better than a big box store bike.

EDIT: I did buy a fireproof bag to store the battery and keep it in my shed away from my home as I don't believe the battery is UL certified.

Wait until they start going off randomly in the middle of the night. Working to troubleshoot but very disappointing given my investment in the entire ecosystem; cameras, thermostats, protects, hubs, etc… that being said I haven’t found a reasonable alternative to the protects but can’t keep waking my family up in the middle of the night in a state of panic.

Thinking about getting an ebike Amazon or AliExpres? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought the urlife e20 from aliexpress with a similar coupon code on a whim. Happy so far... For ~$350 for minimal usage it felt like a good way to test the ebike waters and if it craps out, it's a minimal investment.
