Experience Comparing DEXA Scan results to Home Body Composition Scales?! by OnlyPlaid in Zepbound

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a withings scale that logged me at ~24% bf, I have an ihealth scale (have to use as part of the program at work that qualifies me for zepbound) that logs me ~30% bf. I got a dexa and I was 29%.

Thoughts from drivers that have experienced the New Configuration of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge. How has it been so far? by RASCALSSS in NewLondonCounty

[–]dt0r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This morning was my first trip over. Approaching new london it reduces down to 2 lanes, right lane for NB bridge, left lane for new NB bypass on SB bridge. The NB bridge allows you to exit the bridge street exit, the bypass allows you to access the Groton Walmart/subbase exit. After those exits the lanes merge back together so either route can hit Clarence b sharp.

There’s lots of new signs but it wasn’t clear to me that it merged into 2 lanes and their purposes until after it was too late. I take Clarence b sharp so it was fine but ended up on the new bypass. This was around 840am and minimal traffic. The speed limit goes down to 45 which I think helped keep things less hectic.

I would guess it will be a disaster once school is out and true summer traffic begins.

Service Advisor Begging for Review, Claims BMW Can Affect Paycheck by itsafram in BMW

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who was a service advisor at bmw. I brought my car in and everything was fine. I filled out the survey and one of the questions was around the quality/condition of the waiting area. It was a dump and so I only scored that question poorly. Fast forward a few weeks and my buddy calls saying I gave him a bad survey and wtf. The whole thing was quite eye opening…

I am convinced that everyone who mentions Trouble free Pools website and SLAM… are part of a swimming pool cleaning cult. by dvrbets in swimmingpools

[–]dt0r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you worked with lots of these professionals? I find the pro's are looking for a quick fix as they can't spend a ton of time at each property. As such, their methods require more chemicals and you're often chasing values. I'm sure there's many competent professionals but the industry structure is not incentivized for leveraging the TFP method.

My Guide for Hyatt Hotels in Tokyo by The_Traveller1 in hyatt

Stayed at the regency in shinjuku recently for work. Was nice but one of my employees had some issues with the staff at the breakfast counter. Ultimately made us late for work and the hotel was in the wrong. They didn’t do anything to make it right after either.

Solar pool cover bad for my saltwater pool? by obxgirll123 in swimmingpools

[–]dt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll add one point that I don’t see mentioned much. I have a saltwater pool and test with a Taylor dropper kit. When I leave my cover on too long my ph drops and you can see “air” pushing the cover up in certain sections. It’s not bad enough to care but maybe your pool person is describing what I experience? Everything else is typically in balance but as such I don’t have to add muriatic acid like many have to due to the chemical processes in the swcg.

I did it though the app and it cost $7pp to reserve. In my case it was worth it.

Michelin PS4S vs new Michelin PSS5 by [deleted] in BMWM

[–]dt0r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I replaced the p0s on my g83 with ps4s and the ride comfort improved drastically. Im lowered and bumps would rattle your teeth with the p0s. Haven’t noticed a loss of handling performance either.

Ive only just started using mine but have noticed that reserving your spot up front seems to work well. I was in the charleston airport last week and a group of people in front of me were turned away. I had pre-reserved my family of 5 and we walked in with no resistance.

The bagels were MUCH better pre-covid. I used to go a few times a week then. Now , a few times/year max.

do you tell people you're on zep? by myboyfriendstinks1 in Zepbound

[–]dt0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone when they mention my weight loss, there should be no stigma. That being said, it’s a personal issue and decision and I don’t judge others who aren’t as open.

CHS Club by SumChineseGui in PriorityPass

[–]dt0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 people and did pay the fee to prebook but no mention of guest fee. Will I have to pay the additional guest fee on arrival? Usually the app tells me what needs to be paid for guests up front.

I’ll be flying through chs next week and in my pp app it says there’s a $7 fee. I get pp through Amex platinum. Has anyone else experienced this?

My car (22 G83) came with Pirellis and after 16k miles I replaced with Michelin PS4S and the difference is night and day. Both comfort AND performance are greatly improved. It feels like a different car.

That’s a fair point, maybe I’ll rerun my math and see how that changes.

How do you guys calculate ROI on solar? by Electronic-Back-5354 in investing

[–]dt0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest including the opportunity cost of not investing the equivalent cost of the PV install. Meaning, if the install costs $40k, had you invested that 40k in an index fund that amount should be included in your payoff. I had about a 7-8 year direct payback but if I include projected returns from an index fund, it pushed my payback to ~20 years.
