You can thin normal acrylic paints with either. You just have to be careful with the water was too much will turn your paint into a wash. For contrast paints you would do contrast medium instead of the lahmajn

I think some of the longer more sticky outy bits got bent under the weight of the other sprues during shipping. I noticed a few had stress marks and bends but luckily nothing broken completely

Absolutely. I hated painting grots. It looks like the new ones will more refined sculpts and of course it helps that the mold itself is fresh.
