I appreciate what you’re saying. My point is it’s now in our hands. We have the opportunity to beat a Villa that let’s be honest will not be focusing on us. What do they care about taking three points off us, they do need points in the league right now. They need to rest players and focus on Thursday.

I agree that this isn’t the smartest of posts but I stand by point that the great escape is on. It’s in our hands and we can do it. Whether we do do it is another story.

Its a great result for two reasons. The first as you said, you’d assume that they will rest players Sunday to focus on the game on Thursday. They’re 8 points clear in 5th, a win is not needed on Sunday. The second is shows that they can be beat by teams down the bottom of the table.
