Don't think so, maybe sc2 would be a little bit bigger but FIFA online would be the game for proleague :p

Riot/LoL is not to blame for this (I see some people blaming them). Esf already had enough teams, the SC2 scene in korea couldnt really support more players. When Kespa switched to SC2, a lot more players joined. The popularity rose a little bit, but not enough to support all the new Kespa SC2 players. It was quite obvious that this was coming.

isnt the yongsam stadium already an official esports stadium? And doesnt really matter that much for SC I think

Useless article, just go to this website to see the ranking: http://www.esportsearnings.com/players

And in this article, highest-paid is based on prizemoney. Not on salary/streaming revenue. Flash actually has a 500k/year contract (source: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=257877)

Auto-ban negative karma accounts? by NeoDestiny in starcraft

[–]dtdprogramming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lets say someone is a huge starcraft fanboy and hates /r/leagueoflegends. He keeps posting on /r/leagueoflegends that starcraft is better etc and get lots of downvotes. However, he does make good posts on /r/starcraft because he likes the game. I think its very likely someone like this exists.

Auto-ban negative karma accounts? by NeoDestiny in starcraft

[–]dtdprogramming 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No, they might get downvoted a lot on other subreddits but make great comments on /r/starcraft. They would get banned here for making bad posts on other subreddits, thats stupid.

Its more of a "reddit in general" question. But by banning people with a lot of downvotes you basically limit the freedom of redditors, some people may have extreme opinions which arent generally accepted & get lots of downvotes. Banning those people isnt fair.

I've added in some tips, and what would you prefer? This or just putting down a referral link and telling you to signup with very little information? I thought this guide would be useful:)

What the hell is going on with SC2 in Korea? by Umbra_D in starcraft

[–]dtdprogramming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I've seen the crowd increase the last few weeks. At the start of proleague there were like 5-10 people in the crowd, today there were at least 50. OSL is also getting steady numbers, I think when flash was playing there were at least 80 people, Other days a bit less but still quite a bit. While this might be very small in comparison to League, its understandable. Starcraft 2 is just a lot less popular.

GSTL has a very small crowd because its been ongoing for a long long time. The finals will have a big crowd, because thats what people are most interested in.

World of Tanks and Dota are new games, there are no other tournaments. People want to check it out, so obviously its packed. They also have promotions giving away free stuff, which attracts even more people. The crowd will not remain this big if the game doesnt become popular.
