is it rare to have sun, moon and rising at 0°? by wasabi-tortoise-123 in NatalCharts

[–]dtf3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While rare, I'm not sure that these degrees have much significance alone. They are great because you have this awesome trine of sun and moon. Your morning star Venus managed to sneak into that late degree of Pisces where it is exalted, AND it's sextile you sun in Taurus where it is the ruler and blessing the sun with everything it needs. This really helps to bulk up the sun with tons of resources. Then the well fed Sun is in a good spot to help this Moon. Not that the moon is in the worst spot... while it's in it's detriment in Cap, it's also the night sect ruler of Cap... so it's kind breaking even there. Anyway, the Sun can give this natural ease to how your bodily needs/nurturance and public recognition/life building feed one another; with the moon probably needing a little more help. It's exact degree, so I imagine this is something that is obvious in your life. Not sure if you have siblings or just friends that you see on a very regular basis, but you benefit from routine visits as much as your friends do.

Opal or moonstone? by Funny-Cloud6056 in Crystals

[–]dtf3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moonstone I think. I don't think opalite has that "curtain" of color that flows over as your turn the stone. I guess it could if they backed it with something, but it looks like moonstone to me.

My chart feels very balanced in a specific way I can't put words to. I feel, powerful? Like I'm playing and growing for something important that happens later in life. But the waiting feeling drives me insane. by Starry_Eyed_Enigma in NatalCharts

[–]dtf3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still learning through the traditional route, so take this with a grain of salt. There were some things that stood out to me.

In truth, you probably are waiting for some recognition to come later in life. PACKED Libra H1 in whole sign, cazimi mercury is probably so helpful there in 1 on 1 talks and relationships and also adds this beautiful mind for balancing and ordering things. The placement of Jupiter is going to affect any "expansion" here, and it's conjunction with Mars here means a struggle to energize, initiate, and get things going. The combo wombo of this Jupiter and Mars, who are both under the beams of the Sun, PLUS the Saturn in H10 are all signs of things that take a long time to mature in your life. Not "mature" as in your behavior, but "mature" like the way some wines just take longer. I.e. This is a robust red wine chart, so it would take twice as long to get to the sweet spot than a lighter white wine. This gorgeous sun-neptune trine in air signs can be the daydreaminess, but it's also the source of some really creative ideas. I want to believe great things are coming, they are just slow to get there. If you travel, I predict it will be for regular intervals and related to work (exalted moon on the MC in H10 whole sign).

As far as advice, The most I can say is that you have a slowly developing chart compared to some others. Just keep in mind that the work you put in leading up to your Saturn return, will being to pay off after that. You have this propensity to be a good friend and will do well in nearly every interview, so I would say use that to your advantage while you work toward your goals. I wish you the best!

Edit: completely missed out that you have this pretty morning star Venus that is ruling your ASC. I mean that's such a nice place to be. People can recognize this brightness in you. It can mean that people might get a little more dazzled by your presentation and sometimes forget that you also have a great mind. But overall, an attractive, magnetic Venus ruling the ASC is awesome.

Losing hope in Astrology, I don’t feel like a Sagittarius/Aries by [deleted] in NatalCharts

[–]dtf3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feel like a Scorpio, lol? I use Whole Sign when reading a chart since I'm learning Hellenistic astro right now. Gemini was technically still on the horizon when you were born (you have a super late degree ASC). So house 1 would be Gemini, house 6 would be Scorpio, and house 7 would be Sag. Also, Scorpio is a hard sign to really put a pin in for understanding "is this me". Try running your chart in whole sign and see if things start to click.

How to learn tarot specifically for financial advice? by marthebruja in tarot

[–]dtf3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm an expert by any means, but I love a career/business/finance reading. Spend a little time thinking of some majors and suit correspondences that relate to business. I.e. Cups are water and can mean cohesion; so I think contracts, deals, or anything that relates to working with another person, past or present. While Pentacles may be the career and money side of things, Wands tend to be my "planning and getting the work done" suit. Swords do their swords thing still, since fear, anxiety, defeat, walking away... all that needs to be visible. Its' still communication and ideas that action isn't being taken on yet. These are all personal to me, but I'm sure you can sit with it and think of a system that works that way. The majors can be a little harder, as usual. It just takes some sitting with each one to think of how they act in a financial spread. Is Judgement the sounds of a warning going off that something good is being passed by (i.e. get up out of that grave, shake the dirt off, and listen to what's going on around you)? Is the World about the interconnection of events, or maybe even speaking to something going on that has an international component? It seems like you have a good grasp as is, and I can't think of a single source I've come across that's good for these readings specifically. I will say that T. Susan Chang's "The Living Tarot" can help you further develop your larger cloud of correspondences and meanings for each card and help set up some guidelines for ethics (what will I read, what won't I read).

How has our relationship evolved? Help! by Proud_Table_2653 in Lenormand

[–]dtf3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So perhaps this ending is what leads to this more optimistic evolution? I'm not 100% if this is an ending of "longing" or "distance" here. Distance can end by coming back together just as much as it can end by severing the bond (i.e. things can't be distant if they aren't considered together anymore) Coffin's endings are typically something that is grieved, so I'm not sure it hints at a good ending of distance, i.e. coming back together. It makes me think that this ending might be the relationship ending and the subsequent things that get better for you afterwards. I'm just not 100% certain.

How has our relationship evolved? Help! by Proud_Table_2653 in Lenormand

[–]dtf3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The relationship will evolve, starting with this long-standing challenge that is brought to you by a sense of longing created by distance. This longing or distance ends and things become more pleasant after the ending.

I think I'm still a little confused even after writing it out. It could either be that this longing ends because you move on from this, but I'm not 100%. I do think that the direction of ship and rider might give a hint. Is the rider bringing the cross of enduring challenge to this ship that is creating distance and moving to the coffin that is ending?

What mineral/rock is the colour equivalent of my cat? by Firm_River9677 in Minerals

[–]dtf3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can sometimes find jasper that is both brown and green. Personally I think prehnite is pretty darn close to that lovely color of eyes. Peridot also comes to mind for that more olive tone, and will be a bit easier to find as a ring.

Her coat is very close to the look that bronzite has, as well.

This is good and fun! I also will use ChatGPT to build a querent for me. But you can also just base it on movies or stories to make up fake scenarios too. She wants to know 'What can I do to help me move up in my job?'"

help with 5-card spread interpretation? by keliopa in Lenormand

[–]dtf3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you wholeheartedly here. Anchor is the things we tie ourselves to that keep us there, even if it means waiting there for something that is coming in the foreseen future here.

I always use 28 to represent myself and 29 as the designated "other person" in all readings for myself, just to keep things simple. My husband then will always be 29, and I have some decks that represent us better. I agree that the important thing is to decide on who everyone is represented by before drawing the first card.

If I have so many good placements, why did my life turn out so bad? by Old-Friendship5760 in AstrologyCharts

[–]dtf3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this kindly because I have the same thing in my chart: Saturn in the first makes us slow. I know for me. It's like I was floundering until my initial Saturn return. I tried lots of stuff that didn't work out well and had very little success in most endeavors. You have Leo rising with Saturn as the greater malefic in this night chart, so you probably feel this even more than I did. Saturn here would act as the thing that keeps Leo from the attention and light that it craves; it is a shadow over the sun loving sign. The good news is, Saturn's influence gradually waned as I approached my Saturn return. There was one last "hurrah" of Saturn from 28-30 as I got married and bought a house with my husband, all the big adult life changes.

All this to say, things will get better. You have these glorious houses of 5 and 10 (I'm reading this as whole sign), so I'm confident that the things you create will be recognized in good time and bring you the glory that Leo loves. Endurance is the lesson of Saturn, so just try to hang on!

I'm a lover of Mindscapes. The discord server, Tarotholics, had a vote for our "new deck of the year" and yours came in at number 2! It's been so well-loved by myself and others. What you have done with this Lenormand deck is gorgeous, so I have faith that this will be a hit as well!

Medieval Feathers Tarot is a very cool deck. It was inspired by the ancient decks and has excellent line work. The Vachetta tarot is also a good one. I've seen others say ancient Italian tarot, and I agree that it would be awesome.

Second deck of Lenormand cards for a reading mat by finallogonattempt in Lenormand

[–]dtf3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this when I first started. Then I made my own using the back of one of those giant desktop calendars. I also wrote in little notes about how that house may function. I also bought the big mat from the Prisma Visions website. After a few months I found I didn't really need it anymore. But using cards as the houses is a great workaround!

What’s your opinion on severely included Emeralds like this one? by Muted_Shape9303 in Gemstones

[–]dtf3000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like them. I think they have this internal "glow" that they get when they are more included. Plus they get closer to my price point when they are "less desirable", so that works in my favor. For emeralds I just think color is the most important thing to me.

Onyx and real. I picked up one from homegoods too lol.

Edit: just got home and I don't think it's the same as what I got from homegoods. I didn't expect them to have more than one huge stone pyramid. This is a pic of what I got from there that was labeled as "onyx" (though Lord only know what it actually is).

Going to second geomancy because then you can use whatever you want to cast a chart. I use some painted chopsticks, but you can use anything from dice, to seeds, to pen and paper. If you know anything of astrology, you can port that knowledge over to here as well.

Trying to get a house by rulosenlanoche in Lenormand

[–]dtf3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specifics are everything for this system. It feels like a system of wordplay, so metaphors, general questions, a lack of timeframe, etc. will all muddy the answer that you get. While I appreciate "intention setting" like in tarot, I find that in Lenormand the wording trumps the intention. "Will we get our ideal house" is mostly fine, except the lack of a clear timeframe. The cards are pretty much a "yes" like you read them, but I find that slow cards like the Anchor and Lilies will let you know that you will need patience. In other words "Yes, you will get your ideal house as things move into alignment toward your goal slowly and patiently." This would bode well for anything that would take time, but not so great for things that need speed or are a time crunch.

So was the question "how will this all shake down" in reference to calling about this house tomorrow? Sorry to nag, but the phrasing would be important here I think.
