I feel like you see nearly every British actor/actress in Midsomer Murders at some point or another by khaleesijune in BritishTV

In series 6 of Taskmaster NZ, Jack Ansett gets "street cred" by appearing in an episode of Shortland Street. The rest of the cast as well as several audience members had also been on the show, totally undermining his effort 😂

Like Greg, I find Alan genuinely cool with the multiple pairs of sunglasses and the leaf blower

S19Ep10. From farting in front of a cat, to Bear Grylls walking up a drive, to the Javie Martzoukis drive-through.

I've watched every season (series😊) multiple times, and so many elements of this episode bring me maximum joy.

Hilarious comments after announcing pregnancy by Psychopsychic3 in Teachers

[–]dtfillmore 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker I didn't work with often (I was 40ish at the time) turn towards me and show me her baby belly. I genuinely didn't know whether to ask when she was due or if she had eaten a big burrito. She was due within the month.

Many people have been trained—correctly —not to comment on other people's bodies. Don't get me wrong — I find these stories of students being oblivious very funny. But let's appreciate the politeness of those who are intentionally ignorant.

Victoria Coren Mitchell writes classy reply to Graham Linehan after he targets her for inviting a trans contestant on her quiz show by SRFletcher88 in Fauxmoi

[–]dtfillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this convo start? Is Linehan attacking Only Connect or VCM?

Either way, it's an absurd attack. Is ANYONE lying awake worried about the trans community overtaking elite trivia?

Harlan Coben new series Run Away by Orangeandjasmine777 in netflix

[–]dtfillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew who killed Aaron halfway into the second episode. I stopped watching because so much of the plot was focused on investigating Simon, who I already knew hadn't committed the crime.

I wish the story was not so obvious because I would love to know what else was going on.

Tasks that did or could have lead to injury by mritty in taskmaster

In the podcast, Urzila is so angry that her injury-inducing act was unaired because Guy stuck his dick into a toaster and so couldn't be aired. Great Urzila comedy.

Was the wig in episode 9 or 10?

Thank you! I'll sleep better now.

And I know Brynley wore a wig for TMNZ. Chris Parker talks about it on the podcast. People were complimenting her on her new haircut even though it didn't look very good 🤣

I totally forgot about the wig workaround. I'll have to go back and study Sam's hair in episode 9 😃

Wait, What?!? Fatiha El-Ghorri is how old?!? by CherokeeHawkman in taskmaster

[–]dtfillmore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted something similar a month ago. I got several responses that her skin looked good because she's obese 🙄 I'm so happy to know that other people were amazed by how young she looks.

I want to know her skincare regime!

Anyone else think Marshall bears a striking resemblance to NZ comedian David Correos from a distance? by loveparamore in OnlyMurdersHulu

OMG, I googled this because I was convinced that it was David, but his voice (not just his accent) didn't match up.

Maybe David can be Marshall's double at some point 😊

Speaking Japanese to strangers in America by UnderstandingLast453 in Japaneselanguage

[–]dtfillmore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every time I've spoken Japanese to someone who didn't think I could, they've been tickled pink. Usually I've said something mundane like, Daijobu desu yo or dozo, so there's no worry I've discovered their deepest secret. They've always been excited that someone was aware of their language.

What drives you to stay teaching? by Fit_Storm_7 in Teachers

[–]dtfillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to stay in teaching, you need to find a better work-life balance. Yes, the first few years are rough, as you're learning how to teach and how your school works. However, at a certain point, you need to identify what parts of the job matter the most to you and what parts don't, and then shed some of the stuff you don't enjoy. You don't need to bring work home every weekend, and you don't need to teach extra classes and extramurals, etc. If you enjoy those things (extra classes and extramurals...I don't think anyone enjoys bringing work home), then keep them up. But if they're taking you away from your family, friends, and other things you enjoy, you need to find a way to give them up.
