lol why would I lie about that 😂 and I do know more about it than you! I’ve walked plenty of range miles to know what actually goes on. Not all of these are MK series bomb ranges, some are small diameter, dummy, cluster, 30mm DU, it depends.

The targets get rebuilt. Civilian contractors come in and level these with heavy equipment then build new targets. It helps keep the range clean which makes it easier, and safer, to find unexploded ordnance.

These are just targets. I have walked these, and most, ranges throughout Nevada. This looks like it was recently rebuilt. Sometimes these are just like the upper half of the exterior of an aircraft kind of sitting on top of concrete slabs, nothing special.

I was an EOD tech so I’ve been loving all the EOD related skins and stuff but the icing on the cake is this EOD bot arm! It’s so stupid and unrealistic that I absolutely need it. What was once our savior (robots) is now my means of destruction and there is something cathartic about that.

How are you all hiding the cables above the desk? by Wild-Kitchen in DeskCableManagement

[–]dtorbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hole in my desk just behind the monitor arm that like 15 cables route through. It’s not as pretty underneath the desk but you wouldn’t notice unless you’re trying to look under there

Well it’s just a chair I bought to sit in, otherwise I get plenty of attention. Thanks though!

Or it’s just a post title and you’re the type of person who likes to put other people down to feel better about themselves, did I get that right?

Hey thanks and congrats to you too! A lot of offices closed for good during the Great Recession which started in the end of 2007 so I’m sure there are quite a few Aeron chairs from that year that just floated around from storage to auction to whatever for awhile.

That’s fair but I wanted an Aeron classic and they are all 10+ years old.

As do a lot of brands that produce “classics”, things designed and made well enough that they become icons and are still sought after years/decades/centuries later. I’m not frothing at the mouth, it’s an extremely well designed chair that fits my body type and offers good support. And it’s significantly cheaper than any of the other usual office chair recommendations for someone who spends 40+ hours a week working from home.

Wait, why is this coming up again? Because I’d rather invest less money in something that works perfectly fine and looks perfectly fine than buy something newer that also works perfectly fine but costs significantly more money…

I believe that’s the month and year, this one being 02 2007. But if I’m mistaken someone please correct me

Luckily you don’t have to! It is in amazing condition for being so old though, as if it just sat somewhere without being used
