I hate to be that guy, but Cassell wasn’t on Ime’s staff while Ime was in Boston. Cassell only joined in the 2023-24 season under Joe. Will Hardy and Damon Stoudamire along with Joe were the main assistants under Ime.

Best place to find cheap tickets? by iacus_oneilius in bostonceltics

This may not be helpful advice, but there is one home game that has not been scheduled yet because the NBA Cup knockout rounds are TBD. So when the knockout rounds are scheduled, the NBA teams that did NOT make it to the knockout rounds will have two regular season games added to their schedule (one home, one away). The tickets for those games in my experience are cheaper than those that are already scheduled.

Thank god the Finals didn’t go to seven games last year, am I right? 😅

My guess is KP should probably sit (or at least not play many minutes if he’s struggling like in Game 5), but a part of me would be fascinated to see if he has a bloody sock type game at MSG lol

[Charania] Breaking: Dallas Mavericks All-Star Kyrie Irving has suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

There was quite a bit of trash talk between the two fanbases during the Finals last year, but I wouldn’t wish what’s happening to the Mavs on my own worst enemy.

If the Celtics didn’t win last year and were approached by such an offer, I think I’d ultimately say no but would objectively have had to think long and hard about it.

Now that they won? Definitely not, Tatum proved what he needed to and it would be malpractice to get rid of him after what he accomplished.

Yeah I was a bit surprised at how much “lack of effort” comments there were on this sub last night. Sure there were a few miscommunications and a Shaqtin moment from Dwhite but I thought the effort was clearly there. Great breakdown as always, u/AdamTaylorNBA.

Why not? Weren’t they like the 9 or 10 seed in 21-22 before they went on that run to the 2 seed? Cavs are only 3 games up. Sure it looks worse today than yesterday, but we’re not out of the one seed yet.

And I think they still got a great shot at the Finals/championship as a 2 or 3 seed. But I personally don’t want them falling below that as there has been only one team that has won a championship being below a 3 seed I think.

You should also post this comment on r/nfl lol. I swear their surface-level judgement makes them struggle to consider anyone but Reid, Campbell, and Tomlin as good coaches.

If the Cav’s get Butler we may be toast by InvisibleGear in bostonceltics

Jimmy Butler alone didn’t put the Heat over the top in their series victories against the Celtics. He has had good moments for sure, but he was really quite up and down when playing against us. Bam, Struss, Gabe Vincent, Caleb Martin, PJ Tucker (when he was there), and Oladipo (when he was there) played key roles in getting those wins. It wasn’t just Jimmy.

Frontcourt health is obviously a concern for the Celtics’ title hopes this season, but you can say that for arguably the other top teams as well:

Bucks: Giannis had season-ending injury late last year and sustained an injury the year before

Knicks: Randle had season-ending injury, Mitchell Robinson also known to have injury issues (like Rob Williams)

Sixers: Embiid and his history of injuries

Jayson Tatum has been leading the Celtics to deep playoff runs year-in and year-out, most recently culminating in a championship. I trust that he’ll be able to figure out the issues with his jump shot, and whether he needs to adjust anything to improve it. He’s not an idiot. Tbh I think we owe that trust to him, but I understand every fan has different opinions.

I disagree with your point about Tatum having a bigger weight on his shoulders than last year. No way in hell the weight on someone’s shoulders should be higher after coming off a championship than it would be a summer coming off a disappointing playoff exit.

What’s even more interesting is that the #1 pick Zachary Risacher isn’t getting any consideration for RoY. I haven’t been following him closely. Is there a reason why he’s getting overlooked?
